Well, she's not a vampire, but she's "something".

And no, Ilya doesn't have dual personalities, that's just how she is.

Personally, I think they could've done the Shirou + Ilya scene a little bit better. The meeting was a pretty big and memorable event in the game (and it was the first time we got to see Ilya's various emotions), but the anime felt like it's missing a punch... Probably because of the lack of Shirou's internal monologues from the game (besides that "this is probably what it feels like if I had a little sister").

Or maybe it's just me.

Next week, at a guess, Shinji uses Taiga as bait to get revenge on Shirou - we see someone attacking Taiga and Shirou running off after all, and they're probably connected. And I bet Shirou shows a jump in power-level, surprising Shinji badly.

Depending on how far they get, the next episode should be a good one for showing off Rider's strengths.

Thanks a lot Shirou. I have a dental cleaning coming up on monday and I know the first question the dentist is going to ask me is if I grind my teeth. Seriously, I was really mad when Shirou almost threw poor little Ilya to the ground.

I will wait till tommorrow when I get the subbed version to review it, but it was a decent episode. The interaction between Ilya and Emiya. Rin beating up poor Shinji. Saber not modest at all when in front of her 'master'. I wonder if Shinji gets to see Rider in similar circumstances? Lucky guy.

Can you blame Shirou? Ilya almost got him split apart and wants to kill Saber. It is difficult to be charitable under such circumstances.

"Poor" little Ilya is no kid. She is dangerous Master, like it or not. What I mean by dual faces is, 2 contrasting facet she has when comes to him. She is what she is, granted. I have also come to conclusion that the anime lacks the punch due to general absence of internal monologues.

It's just business, stormy. Ilya is trying to win the Holy Grail War. Emiya should be trying to as well. He almost got himself killed by jumping in front of Berserker's attack. Ilya didn't force him to do that. Ilya could have easily killed Saber off during that incident as well. She was too injured to defeat Berserker, but Ilya was merciful. There is nothing wrong with Ilya wanting to defeat Saber, Saber has already died in real life. I am sorry, personally I believe the lives of servants are meaningless.

I agree. The monologues were a very important aspect of the game.

But Ilya did want to kill Saber and Rin, 2 close people in Shirou's life. It is understandable when Shirou tried to brush her off first in the encounter.

Gave this ep an 8, some good moments here and there, scenes I can use to make fun of Shirou being a lolicon and more importantly Rin did to Shinji what I wanted to do to him ever since he opened his mouth! I only wished she punched him once more for me -.-

Ilya was just too cute.
Naked Saber was worth watching the RAW.

Gets a 9 out of 10 in my book.
Watching Saber layeth the smack down (eheheh) on Shirou, and Rin doing so to Shinji, was enjoyable.
Ilya was incredibly cute. That part where Shirou knocks her over and grabs her, she asks, " Do you hate me, oniichan?", I just went,"There's no way anyone can say yes to that."
So begins the miseducation of Emiya Shirou.

Oh and one more thing...

atleast he knows what he wants, unlike many other harem male leads .

this ep deserves a 10. it was nice to step back from all the fightin and violence and we can finally see him getting stronger. watchin him get pwned all the time is really sad :P

Well, I went with a 7. A 7 is about as high as I can give for an episode with no action. I enjoyed it though. I would have preferred a naked Rin over Saber. Personally I find Rin more attractive and all-out-hilarity would have ensued if Shirou interrupted her in the bath. Remember how flustered she got when she accidently gave Shirou an upskirt visual earlier in the series? She would have killed him for this.
