I'm looking forward to seeing Ilya acting more like a regular girl this episode, before she goes back to being Darth Ilya I like her, and she's super cute, but I can't help but think she's going to be causing some serious headaches for Shiro and the gang before long.

Well, that didn't do anything for me.

I detest lolis and loli-fetishists as a matter of principle, but an imouto-foreigner-loli-albino-ojousama character is just ludicrous and not really worth examining for all of its absurdity.

Lets just say that Illya is cliched beyond cliches (I predict her having some kind of a traumatic/bloody ending, as all such characters have in the end), but she was kinda funny when she couldn't pronounce Shiro's name. Oh, the irony! 8)

The rest is rather uneventful as well. Shiro is having bonding sessions with Saber (through swordplay training) and with Rin (through magical training), with no real progress on either fronts. Another Archer/Shiro talk with Archer striving and succeeding in his goal to aggravate and annoy Shiro. The guy is really talented at pulling Shiro's chain, you know... 8)

Saber gave us a glimpse of her godly ass, just as the preview promised, but there wasn't much fanservice beyond what the end of the last episode showed. Oh, and Rin smacked Shiji who offered her an alliance with him (although it's obvious he want to get in her skirt), so now Shinji wants revenge at Shiro for "taking" Rin. Next ep seems to be didicated to that and to the Rider/Saber fight.

All in all, a boring episode, but with a couple bright spots (Illya with Shiro's name, naked Saber, sleepy Tohsaka in a nightgown) that only accentuate the overall failure to entertain me.

Although, I am sure the fanboys will love it yet again.

6 point out of 10 for naked Saber, but that's all I can dole out today.

I have watched this episode and I have come to the conclusion that Rin Tohsaka must be the owner of Tohsaka Lamp Industries.

A 5 from me, since this episode was below average relative to the full show. I wonder if this could have been presented a bit better...

Well, it seems that the next ep will have the first "serious" repeat fight. Let's hope for some serious Shinji whipping

Ilya personality is dual, one hand she is endearing yet on other hand, murderous. Shirou as usual, let her into his circle without any precaution. Sometimes I dunno what is he thinking.

Saber ought to slam more shinai into his head.

About the episode, from looking at the screen shots, looks like its going to be a more slow paced episode, with Iyla getting lots of screen time which is ok I guess but I want to see more of Sakura!, they are hinted to there being more to her character then there is but.. I just want to know how! much more, and what role she is going to play.

When I saw the preview for this ep, I was wondering if the "token Loli" had a dual-personality or something - when we see her at *night* she's rather sinister, but during the *day* she seems almost a different person. I was wondering if she was some kind of vampire or something (would explain the overkill power level she has) but that doesn't seem to be the case - though she acts like a little girl during the day, she still remembers she's a Master. However, previous eps had suggested that she had a particular reason to kill Shirou but she doesn't even know his name. And we still don't know how she new he was a master well before Saber showed up.

And, joy of joys, Shirou thought "Hmm, would be nice to have a little sister like that". Now all we need is a girl with glasses...

Earlier in the ep, Shirou asks Saber what she wants the Grail for - ie, what's her wish. Seems she wants to re-do her life or something. Shirou was (only slightly) worried that she may have wanted world conquest or something. Shirou also finds out that Saber considers embarrasment to be optional

And towards the end, Rin decides to kick-start Shirou's magical powers or something.


Next week, at a guess, Shinji uses Taiga as bait to get revenge on Shirou - we see someone attacking Taiga and Shirou running off after all, and they're probably connected. And I bet Shirou shows a jump in power-level, surprising Shinji badly.

Ilya's condition is actually explained later in the story. There is reason she looked like that and why she has contrasting thinking torwards hapless Shirou.
