Yuuhi's mom is pretty understandable, like she's still a rookie, so its not like she's asking her to quit an established 10 year career. She's only been at it what? 1-3 years? at most.

I think most Moms would want their kid to quit if they found out they were getting stalked.

Yuhi just got a major role in a highly anticipated anime directed by her dad. This is her chance to break out. Quitting now would be missing a big opportunity.

The logical thing to do would have to just have her transfer school when she was exposed. It makes zero sense she wouldn't do that, of course people will be stalking her.

The relationship between idols/actresses and their fans in Japan strikes me as really weird. I'm sure they're playing it up on this show for the dramatic effect, but how much are they playing it up?

They could do all sorts of things on their radio show with the two different personas. On You Can't Do That On Television we had "opposite sketches" where we flipped everything around. They could also do bits where the two personas got into arguments with each other, where the girls would have to switch back and forth between characters on the fly. It could be fun!

Red eyed girl is a certifiable lunatic. Like the main two were already somewhat bewildered by her irate hostility and I wouldn't blame them if they were moreso now. But I doubt it.

The mother is also insane going through with this bet.

Two interesting characters trudging through a sewage-esque episode.

Yea. I'm just gonna blank out this whole arc, and hope the next one moves on and tries something more grounded.

Definitely knocking like 2 pts at least off the final score of this show for this.

Thought it was too much think this two will cause this level of drama for reveal herself as autentic, make a little more sence if remember their fans are mostly teeanger who are easy to angry.

Yuuhi's kind of a bitch here, Utatane is obviously down, and tried to put up a front to save face because she doesn't want to be pitied, and she just gets mad.

Of course it's obvious to us since we're privy to Yasumi's thoughts. It's not that obvious from an outsider's perspective, it really sounded like she was just making excuses.

Another thing to keep in mind is that Yuhi's thoughts are hidden from us. I'm pretty sure she stayed behind because she was very concerned for her, thinking she'd be depressed, so when she saw her act like that, she snapped. Yuhi has always been very socially awkward, there's no way someone like her would be able to tell Yasumi was putting up a front. I also very much doubt she was upset Yasumi was cast as her rival, what she was upset about is that she didn't share the news with her.

I've already dropped Sasakoi and now I'm really hanging by a thread with this series... if it wasn't for Jellyfish the yuri this season would be irredeemable.

Thing is, at this point, she isn't just an outsider, they been working closely together weekly for many months now and spent a lot of time outside of work as well. She should be more aware.

Yuuhi's not mad about Utatane's acting in the studio. She's mad about Utatane's acting to her face. She wants Utatane to quit bs'ing.

Funny thing, before I sat down to watch anime this evening, I'd been thinking that when my writing is in the flow it feels like I can write forever, and when it's not working it feels like I'll never eke out another word again. It's like that for all creative efforts, and Utatane is clearly in a "not working" part of the cycle. When you're young (or even not so young), you believe that someday you'll learn how to be "on" all the time. Utatane looks at all those veteran actors and imagines they never go through down cycles anymore, when of course they all do.

One of my favorite quotes about writing came from William Goldman, who won two Oscars and also wrote both the book and the movie versions of The Princess Bride. He confessed that even after all that, he still had to build up his confidence before every new project, to convince himself that he was capable of doing it. The ups and downs never go away. They're a part of the creative life.

I found it funny that her agent said she believes Yasumi is suited for villain roles because I don't think I've ever heard Miku Ito play a villain. I'm no expert on her but I've only ever heard her play nice girls.
