Animation seems even better than S1. Looks like we're off to a great start.

9/10 for that transformation scene alone. Utterly glorious!

Some other magical visual effects were very nice as well. And terrific execution of this duplication plot twist! As an anime-only viewer I was truly startled by it, which is one of the marks of a good plot twist.

Between all of that, and the cute yuri subtext, Prisma Illya Zwei! is off to a great start.

Perhaps I'm in the minority here, but the jokes weren't as funny as in the manga. I found most of them pretty bland.

Animation was surberb though, probably among the best I've seen this season, so that's a plus. Story's pacing was good, looking forward to seeing kuro Illya.

We're off to a great start. That transformation sequence put Sailor Moon Crystal to shame. Silver Link is showing Toei how it's done. And Deen, as well. The Rho Aias was so much more beautiful than the one in the UBW movie. A freaking movie. I hope they'll be able to maintain that animation quality, at least for the fights.

I can't wait for the next episode. TV stations and Crunchyroll better not censor it.

I really couldn't help thinking during that transformation sequence "see, that's how you do it right Sailor Moon"

. It just looked great and had some good comedy with the crying for help in the background.

Definitely hope they don't hold anything back with these episodes. Would be a tragedy.

I like the episode, nothing really happen apart from the last minutes, but that transformation scene was funny and cool.

The show is off to a great start. The transformation scene was hilarious especially when the show reminds you that throughout the entire thing Rin and Luvia are still in trouble.

Watching this I'm reminded that a re-read is necessary, but from what I remember, this episode was pretty good. Having said that, I don't mind original parts as long they get used for more Illya and Miyu goodness as that park scene (Miyu, are you practicing for something?

).

Since this was an introduction episode, there's not much to say, and pretty much everyone already got spoiled for that appearance in the end, so gonna have to wait till next ep for opinions on the newcomer. All I can say it's welcome back Illya, things are looking fun already.

I have heard "things" about this part of the series. Very 'NSFW' things.

"Things" beside, this episode was basically just a reintroduction with some hit and miss humor. My favorite moment probably being Rin telling Illya and Miyu to stop wasting time with over elaborate transformations. This series always did a good job with making fun of Mahou Shoujo cliches.

Zwei beginning had a slow start, but I guess the writers were preparing the audience for the storm of chaos that ensues from the second episode.

I mean this season now brings us Illya X 2 ???

PRISMA Illya vs KURO Illya!!

It's going to become mayhem chaos, and with Rin vs Luvia bickering then loads of fun are inevitable. Add that both Miyu and Illya are still elementary schoolers and shouldn't be doing indirect kisses while in public.
