Does he ever start experimenting with actually combining the runes, or did the author decide that he can't write stuff like that with one brain cell? I personally actually enjoy when crafting goes into details, instead of being simplified or skipped, so now I'm a bit disappointed when he's like "guns are simple, just add a barrel, hammer and a trigger. I also drew an elemental rune on the magazine so now they shoot magic" and "oh yeah I drew one elemental rune each into a few swords and stuck them into the ground, so now they all do just the right things I needed for my farming of different climates and ground types"

I understand gotsugoushugi is the way to go with these types of novels but on this it has been so blatant. The women are all over him from the moment they meet him, and every other chapter is of him being jerked off by people with their mouths wide open due to amazement (of the abilities he merely got from thanatos). The last chapter I read was him (or rather the author) taking some merchant guild guy (and the reader) on a tour of showing off once again how amazing the MC supposedly is, oh he is living in the DANGEROUS WHATEVER FOREST and OMG he's even got the DRAGON KING HANGING OUT IN HIS BACK YARD!! I've seen this shit already, show me something I didn't know.
