Soldier 76 is so good for harassing the enemy team when there's not a super-skilled Widowmaker on the other team, though. He just goes POKE-POKE-POKE-POKE-POKE for damage and there's very little anyone can do to stop him, really. And sometimes doing damage trumps vertical mobility, especially if you're not making headway with, say, Genji, McCree, Tracer, Reaper, or Pharah. Genji and McCree lack heals, Tracer and Reaper lack range, and Pharah lacks close-range viability. You can arguably be good at all ranges with Soldier 76 if your aim is decent. Sure, he may not be the most interesting character, but man... his versatility and ability to sprint really make him a game-changer on timed objectives if your team is at least trying to push.
That being said, I don't have tons of time on him, but the times when I have played him I typically do very well. I don't play him a lot because I've played standard FPS most of my life, and I need WAY more practice with characters like Pharah or Tracer because they're so different from other playstyles I've tried in the past. Pharah makes me remember how equally terrible I was while playing Soldier in TF2.

Finally, the nerf for McCree. I will expect to see less of him, but unfortunately, will probably see the same amount of WM, if not less WM but a lot more Hanzos . Unfortunately that doesn't stop the bandwagon of terrible WM that swap to Hanzos and are still terrible at him too.

More than made up for my previous PotG that featured my ultimate getting stuffed by my friend's absolutely terrible Mei ice wall timing. |

This is an interesting post by Jeff on the Overwatch boards
http://us.battle.net/forums/en/overw...285677#post-12 While he doesn't have a concrete plan for release dates yet, there's a lot of mentions of the ideas ahead that will likely implemented before the year is over. Note: Competitive mode seems to be one of their top priorities at the moment.

Sounds like they are staying busy, which I'm all for. More heroes, more maps, more modes.
Is still nice that when those things are done, they'll be patched on in. Seems like they'll never run out of things to work on with this game.

Its so welcome too. Had a pretty funny situation last night when a McCree did the usual fan-roll-fall combo on me as Reinhardt, and once he'd finished we both just kinda stood there for a second contemplating why I was still alive. I then promptly crushed him against a wall.
The satisfaction.... Really glad to see the scope toggling with WM was also fixed too. Hopefully it wont take too long for D.Va to get a slight buff.
