It's nice to be able to see Baldr, Thor and his awesome goat chariot and huge Mjolnir, Shizuna, Jormungandr saving his imouto and all the other Valkyrie sisters in armor. Chibis of the heorines in the table of contents are good, like the ones from vol 1. There's a few images with all the heroes and villains (respectively), even some chibi versions, awesome. Favorite is all the hero group (save Milinda, sucks for her to be stuck on the Object all the crossover) running to save Hel in C7's title. Getting to see the battle in images and not just text is also cool, all the clashes are great, from Accelerator slapping the main cannon shot of the Baby Magnum right back at it to the short battle with Hishigami Mai. Touma blocking Accelerator's attack is also good.
C8's title card is really great (Hel resting with her two siblings, Jormungandr doesn't fit in the frame

But then we come to my only complaint in the manga (the previous ones about not using the right designs for Index's characters and Brynhildr using a sword instead of the Spears of Ligthning all Valkyries use were just nitpicks). I knew we weren't getting the extra chapter. I didn't mind, it was basically just an extension of the story to get the heroines in swimsuits like the extra chapter in the Waltraute novel. But the manga also skips Shinobu calming Fenrir down and getting Týr's help, which was what really helped the heroes in the battle with the shadows. Skipping that means we don't get to see Týr (thankfully we do see Fenrir because he's mentioned in the story earlier) and, more importantly, it means Shinobu lost the cool moment he had in the novel, so in the manga the only thing he does besides being a popsicle is be comedic relief (scene with Freyja and Frigg) and receive infodump in Asgard before returning to his body. Shame.
On to nicer stuff, when Jack is about to rescue Hel riding Nidhoggr he has a flashback to when he first met her (last part of Waltraute C1), nice touch. But really, it's not the same reading about Jack being dead as seeing him laying on Nidhoggr, blood splatter and all. I thought "this is a bit too much", then the next chapter shows it again in color. A few pages later they even show the knife in his neck. The expressions everyone has at that moment are perfect, and it only makes the spread of him saving Waltraute from him even better (though I would have preferred if the manga did like the novel and first showed you just a hand stopping Gungnir and then revealing its Jack and not Touma).
) Gankutsuou; Railgun S; Little Witch Academia (one of the most philosophically interesting/deep shows that I've seen, while also being the single most feel good of feel good shows that I have ever seen; literally the weirdest combination ever); Kill la Kill (because it saved anime 
I sort of liked that arc anyway. It wasn't like great or anything, but it was still fun reading. I think it's a matter of taste. Though maybe my memory is just bad?
