You're kidding, right? This series is getting an anime?
Not that I mind. I actually like the manga, I eve read the raws. But still, I'm pretty surprised. I didn't think it was popular enough to get an adaptation. I'm glad I was wrong. It's a pretty weird series, with a lot of loli fanservice and whatnot. Definitely not for everyone, but still sorta entertaining... or something. lol EDIT: Oh, snap. It's an event anime. Wait, what the hell is an event anime?

Hmm...count me also surprised at this one getting an anime. Not really my cup of tea, but...well, we'll see.
Could an event anime be an anime shown at a specific event (blindly guessing here).

Originally, Shirow wanted to write the story himself, but it seems the publisher rejected the project.

and I have just checked vol.1 afterwords, it said the manga were intended as a anime project and ask Shirow to write script but the anime project get suspended due to numerous reason. He claim the reason why he does not draw the manga himself is because his art style is already "quite old" and would be affected by existing works like Ghost in the Shell which would make the story lacking a sense of brightness and joyfulness plus as he have a "bad habit" of raising lots of annoying sophistry thus he feel if he draw the series himself then the series would be heavier than its original intention. Thus he only tell a rough plot flow and basic character setting to Rikudo and hope he can work under a very high degree of freedom. Thus I would say most of the actual story is done under Rikudo's work. btw, anyone interested in starting a thread for the manga? |
