Message too short problem when using
-taggs

I don't know if anyone else noticed but if you respond to a message and put your answer in spoiler tags you receive, or at leased I receive, the note that the typed reply is too short and therefore cannot be posted

I was wondering what was up with that because it is a little annoying, for example in the Xam'd thread whenever I reply to someone who asks something spoilerish I have to add some non relevant text in order to post my spoiler tagged answer

has it always been this way?

The above post has only a spoiler tag and the minimum required 10 characters:
test-56789
It seems to have worked without error. As far as I'm aware the length restrictions are identical for all users, irrespective of type. I will try to replicate the problem on a test system, but I have a feeling it might be specific to your system or your browser.

Without filling this thread with tests; has anyone else experienced this?

No, perhaps you had quotes in there and little of anything else. Quotes are ignored when counting characters.
