Shadow Skill: Kuruda Annihilation Techniques vs Soulfan Siege Machinery

In Shadow Skill, the warriors of the City-State of Kuruda who rely only on magical martial arts techniques called the Kuruda Annihilation Techniques, which are hand-to-hand combat techniques that utilize magical powers, is pitted against the Kingdom of Soulfan which uses no magical martial arts techniques because of its lack of Souma, the source of magical powers in the manga, OVA, anime film, and anime, and has to rely entirely on technology which it mass produces in large quantity using animal mills, watermills, windmills, blast furnaces, and oil refineries because of its superior industrial might.

Whose side are you on in this battle?

The Kingdom of Soulfan is armed with armor piercing weapons, armored cavalry, siege machines, incendiary bombs, and oar powered battleships such as:

Armor and Fortification:

Spiked Shield
Chain Mail
Full Plate Armor
Barding
Armored Cavalry
Pavise
Castles

Weapons:

Dagger-Axe
Halberd
Bladed Pole
Long-Handled Saber
Oar Powered Battleship
Ram
Hooks for Pinning Retreating Ships
Molten Iron Incendiary Pot
Shield Armored Ship
Compound Steel Wave Blades
Mace
Flail
Broad Sword
Saber
Pike
Lance
Longbow
Crossbow
Repeating Crossbow
Windlass
Flaming Arrows
Traction Trebuchet
Springald
Counterweight Trebuchet
Fire Jar
Fire Pot
Fire Stone

Below are images of weapons used by the real empires of Europe during the 1st Industrial Revolution which lasted from 500BCE-1700, when animal mills, watermills, windmills, blast furnaces, and oil refineries were invented:

....First, Kuruda techniques does not use any magical power.

The only remaining individual that has access to magic in this world are the 11 Apostles. 5 of them serves in Ashelina during Ashelina's prime days. Of the 5, only one of them is a Kurudian.

But that's beside the point. Scar Face can solo the entire Soulfan if he wanted to.

Yes, I remember now, the Kurudans use only hand-to-hand combat and do not even possess weapons and armor.

Imagine that, the Kurudans engaging in barehanded combat with no protective armor vs the industrial might of Soulfan that has the aforementioned armor, armor piercing projectile weapons, armored cavalry, siege machines, incendiary bombs, and oar powered battleships while Kishiluna has the floating armor golems.

*recalls what Len Fuma had done to the the Kishiluna capital.
Yeah, if Len Fuma can do that, so does Scar Face who is much stronger.
And this is not factoring in Crimson, who can make the whole thing not even a fight.

They should make more animes like this where a primitive tribe or city-state has to fight an industrialized empire just like in real life.

Here are 6 animes I would recommend that have these plots:

Magic Knight Rayearth - 3 Japanese high school girls, Hikaru Shidou, Umi Ryuzaki, and Fuu Hoouji are summoned by Princess Emeraude to the planet of Cephiro to rescue her from the clutches of Lord Zagato. After locating the Rune-Gods and using their power to kill Zagato, they then find out that their real mission is to kill Emeraude because she loves Zagato but her duty as the Pillar of Cephiro forbids her from loving him so she forces the girls, now turned Magic Knights, to kill her in a duel. After Emeraude's death, the 3 school girls who have now returned to Earth are once again summoned to Cephiro by Master Mage Clef to confront the invading industrialized nations of Autozam, Chizeta, and Fahren, who traveled from their home planets to Cephiro on spaceships to seize the power of the Pillar for themselves.

Vision of Escaflowne - Hitomi Kanzaki, an ordinary Japanese high school student is transported to the world of Gaia when a prince from one of Gaia's kingdoms named Van Fanel of Fanelia teleports to Earth while fighting a dragon. After using the mysterious power of a pendant granted to Hitomi by her grandmother to help Van kill the dragon, Van offers Hitomi a reward and asks her to come with him back to Gaia. She agrees and when they visit the palace to complete Van's coronation after completing the right of passage of killing a dragon, the Zaibach Empire with its advanced technology such as floating fortresses, invisible mecha firing liquid metal, radios, and teleconferencing systems, launches an attack against Fanelia and a war against the Zaibach Empire ensues. A clash of industrial empires armed with mechas called Guymelefs erupts while the Zaibach Empire secretly tries to find and seize Hitomi's pendant, an artifact of Atlantis, and Escaflowne, a special Guymelef made by the Yspano Guymelef Factory, to locate the Power Spot, a source of energy from the lost empire of Atlantis to activate Zaibach's Fate Alteration Engine, a device that can control fate and make Zaibach's Emperor, a genius scientist originally from Earth named Isaac Dornkirk, omnipotent.

Final Fantasy Unlimited - 2 kids look for their parents who explored another world that can be accessed by a magical train that goes into a portal. While searching for their parents, they must fight the military of an evil prince who rules over an industrialized empire that is armed with magitek war machines.

Rage of Bahamut: Virgin Soul - after defeating Bahamut, the humans get his source of power: a crystal that emits magical energy. They use the crystal to power mecha dragons and wyverns and subjugate the angels and demons, making them bow to the human's newfound industrial might.

Granblue Fantasy the Animation - a girl named Lyria with the power to summon creatures from another dimension is captured an experimented upon by the scientifically advanced Erste Empire in order to use her as a weapon. She is broken out of the laboratory on an armored airship by Lt. Katalina Alize and escapes. She is then aided by a man named Gran in her fight against the Empire.

Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World - in this story the scientifically advanced Empire, which represents Japan, is at war with the primitive and superstitious Nebulis Sovereignty to the northeast which uses witches and magical creatures as its soldiers and represents the tribal societies in the northern and southern islands near the Imperial Japanese Mainland.

The synopsis:

Quote:
A great war has raged for years between the scientifically advanced Empire and Nebulis, the realm of the witches―until the youngest knight ever to receive the title of the Empire's strongest meets the princess of the rival nation. Though they are sworn enemies, the knight is taken by her beauty and dignity, and the princess is moved by his strength and way of life. Will the fighting between them ever be allowed to end?

Here is another military fantasy anime I would recommend:

Combatants Will Be Dispatched!
- the Kisaragi Corporation, an evil mega-corporation, has succeeded in conquering the world using its technologically advanced weaponry and has turned its attention to interstellar conquest. The corporation assigns Combat Agent 6 to lead the invasion task force but the corporation now faces competition from a rival group called the Demon Lord's Army that uses black magic and it is up to Agent 6 to deal with this new threat to the corporation's power.
