So apparently five animated shot are going to be release to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Digimon. One of them include a prequel for the upcoming movie and side stories about daily life of the DigiDestined



The five shorts include:

Sora e (To Sora or Towards the Sky)
Kokoro no Ana (A Hole in the Heart)
Igakusei Joe Kido (Medical Student Joe Kido)
Akogare no Jogress Shinka (The Desired Jogress Evolution)
A secret title

So we are getting a new Greymon and Garurumon digivolutions? I wonder if that means we'll get a new Omegamon too.

Yamato/Matt looks like his 01 persona rather than the guy looking like the dude from The Girl Who Leaped Through Time. Then again, the premise is something that Toei did a lot. Taichi and the others have separated from the Digimons a lot of times

Fucking I hope not. For so much I like Omegamon, a new Agumon and Gabumon DigiEvolution defeating the villain would be cool for a change. Imperialdramon PM would be good too but we can't have nice things.

I really wish Digimon Tamer will get the same love as Adventure 1&2......

Tamers ended just fine. I'd rather it just be left well alone with the good ending it had then it get resurrected to be given sequel films with the same quality of Tri.

You don't have to worry for that. Toei does not seem to be interested to continue Tamer's story.

Even although Chiaki Konaka wants to create a sequel for Tamer, Toei doesn't seem to be interested.

The movie will have a theatrical release in the US on March 25th (with English subtitles).

That's pretty cool since it's just two days before my birthday.

Since no one had mentioned it, Toei had released on Youtube (including one with English sub) a prologue video that focuses on Sora.

From what I read this seems like somewhat of a rehash of Tri along with wanting to shill/ slow off a new Omegamon form.
