A Certain Middle Aged Man's VRMMO Activity Log

NU

Available as both a Manga and a Web Novel
97 WN Chapters so far

Desc
Typical company employee Tanaka Daichi(38 years old, single) loves games and plays a new type of VRMMO called "One More Free Life Online" under the username "Earth". Inside this free world he chose several skills that are generally regarded as useless. Be it wasting time crafting potions, cooking up pointlessly tasty food, or hunting monsters with some absurd weapon he crafted, he simply enjoys playing the game.

Spoiler for Is he OP?:

Spoiler for Is this a Harem:

Spoiler for Why do you read it?:

Spoiler for Give me an example of the storyline:

Spoiler for Story lines:

Spoiler for Is there some nefarious things going on?:

My only complaint? The latest Arc (The new land) is sorta plodding on. It's obviously world building, but I hope it moves forward soon.

There was a manga for this and its much further with less details but its probably based on the novel. Is the web novel still active? when I go to the site, I can't find it. Its like, its been taken down though not sure if its been transferred to another site.

Welcome to Alphapolis. Enjoy your lack of freedom, crappy quality, and overpriced novels.

Following anything they publish is too much of a pain in the ass so I just give up on anything they touch.

So yeah, the web version's dead, Jim.

Nah... Weed had that massive "Greed" thing going on as his primary driving force. I stillremember getting anooed by it after he hasn't changed in 50ish volumes. At least they toned that way down in the webcomic.

The MC in this one is just a chill dude (who is considered kinda old) who wants to play a game. I've heard people compare this with Only Sense online because of the many parallels, but MS? Technically you can compare any VRMMO WN with it, just because it was the first one that got so well known...

Anyway, while you are technically right that the title is incomplete, does it actually matter erotora?

^ It gets compared with OSO a lot because it was bashed a bit in the early days due to being a very close copy of OSO's beginning settings, and being as the web novel for this started only a few months after the web novel of OSO started, many people called it out as being a copy cat.

i like the chill dude here more than OSO's MC. maybe because his more of a loner here and just do whatever he wants. he even reject event award events because he would stand out and too hassle to deal with.

With this title it seems that this ossan owns the VRMMO

I sent an alert to edit the title (I can't seem to)

And the NU Link I posted has all the chapters.
Last chapter was 3 weeks ago and the first chapter is still available.

The comparisons to OSO, particularly when starting, are understandable. They both have "First Ever VRMMORPG's" with a classless, "Mix & Match", Point-Based Skill System that determines your stat and a MC who picks the Bow that the general populace considers to be a waste weapon due to the high initial cost and aiming problems.

Honestly, I feel like OSO's MC is a more realistic character, given their characterisation. But each to their own.

He doesn't actually seek incredible stuff usually, but gets pulled into a situation where he shows that he's better than average. What annoys me is the rules explanation half-way through the story making practically everyone else cookie-cutter characters.

Oh, and, in relation to the title. While the Ossan doesn't own the VRMMO, from the owners of the VRMMO's point of view he could be considered more important than most of the other users. Because "reasons".

Okay, yes, they do give reasons, but it basically boils down to "You know that weird stuff happening to the MC that he rapidly becomes surprisingly blase about? That's why he's important".

while I have enjoys both OSO and this, I'd say I like OSO more in regard to the game itself, OSO makes clear that Yun is just another player, instead of this guy who is well, exceptional.

Nah, MLS is way better. Either mc-wise or plot-wise.

Although it's fine for a casual read since the plot wasn't that complicated, this one is pretty bland. I honestly don't remember much about this, kinda read until Dragon country trial or something like that.

Technically, EVERY MMO is owned by an ossan/middle-aged man, or a group of them. xD

Oh, I have a little issue with OSO because the main character is a cross dresser. Keeps me a bit distracted. And the fact that the sisters are OP.

In this one, the main character isn't trying for OP, he's just having fun.

I agree.

I liked the sisters loving event but its too much social interaction game. I like the protag here that just lives and plays, mostly on his own and his not emo loner gaysue. His just really enjoying it. my type of playing style
