Masamune-kun no Revenge (Masamune-kun's Revenge) getting a TV anime adaptation.

Plot Summary:

As a child, Masamune Makabe once suffered greatly at the hands of a wealthy and beautiful girl named Aki Adagaki, who nicknamed him "Piggy" due to his chubby appearance. Seeking revenge against his tormentor, Masamune works hard to improve himself and returns as an incredibly handsome, albeit narcissistic, high school student. When he encounters Aki once again, he is prepared to exact vengeance.

With the aid of the rich girl's maid, Yoshino Koiwai, Masamune slowly begins to build his relationship with Aki, intending to break her heart when the time is right. However, as his friendship with Aki begins to grow, Masamune starts to question the objectives of his devious plans, and if bringing them to fruition is what his heart truly desires.

I have a weird feeling Project No.9 is animating it from the looks of it. Remember that for those who doesn't know about the studio, they have released 5 works since 2011 with Ro-Kyu-Bu! being their most notable title. They're animating Netoge Yome right now.

This is getting an anime? I didn't expect that. I didn't like much the Mc or the characters so I can't be biased towards the series but is this series popular enough to animated or is it in need of animation to be popular? but this is manga and its marketed differently from light novel... this still comes as a surprise.

I read a first few chapters, thought it was OK, but didn't really grab my attention, so I haven't read it further. Is it really that bad?

Its not that its bad. But the characters in this are ill suited for an anime given the type of characters that anime fans generally hate. The Male MC and the female MC are both heavy question marks and the story is average at best

I think this series is pretty entertaining and the narrative is getting deep and deeper for a normal harem romcom. I can even stand Nisekoi

this series is nothing. Hope the anime boost the manga.

I don't get why are they adapting it. There is no good stopping point and most of (English speaking) readers are butthurt about Neko, hate Aki and of course there is Kanetsugu but that's smallest of problems. How does Japan feel about this series?
