Episode 1
Been reading the manga while ago and following it an irregular pace. The OP song fits and well, the characters are a bit gimmicky. Still, I got fun from watching this especially with the Reborn designs. Granted the animation quality felt kinda average. Misuzu is cute imo though even with that cold personality of hers. From all the introductions and premise, I think first episode was fine. Not too impressive but not too shabby either. Of course, they introduced the sci-fi elements into the story too. Chuta's character doesn't impress me much but it's the first episode so there's time for development.

It was an ok first episode. Not great, but...ok. Not sure how to really describe this one. Has some interesting qualities that could work and if nothing else might be a nice show to relax and watch.
Chuta's character has some issues, but...it's kind of understandable. Hard to have great social skills when you are constantly distracted by a voice in your head and trying not to appear crazy. Not to mention having friends that died/seriously injured(?) would leave a mark. Not a greatly interesting character, but some room to improve. At least he stepped up here and might be able to work through his trauma. Can the show just toss Misuzu out an airlock? Why is this person such an intense jerk? Outside of appearances there are no redeeming qualities there. Heck even after they find out why he could hear a voice and find out the incredible potential....she's still being a jerk. What a remarkably unlikable person....who is apparently the love interest. Yay?

Yeah ... count me in as one for whom watching the first episode was an odd and curious experience - not a bad one, mind you, just one that was ... weird. Like that ringing, tingling sensation after you lightly bang your elbow the wrong way against something hard unexpectedly.
I think I will try the second episode just because I am a bit amused at being lightly befuddled by the first episode XD

I like it well enough, but then I'm a sucker for relationships like is obviously being set up between Chuuta and Misuzu. Wonder how long it'll take to prove to her that he's not worthless. She should at least realize now that he's not delusional since his montalien has revealed itself. Still, I would years ago have set some ground rules for that voice. But then again the guy must have seen how things were affecting him so I imagine he doesn't really care if he's ruining his friend's life or annoying him. But seriously, I'd have yelled so many times "No talking in public except for life-threatening emergencies".

I went in with no expectations (I didn't even know it was a manga adaptation, let alone had the same author as Reborn)... and I still don't have expectations. It wasn't bad, it wasn't that interesting, but I still kinda want to know what happens next.

The thing is that now that they understand now why he was talking to himself forever at least understand a little, but still she keep the attitude, anyway it's sure she's going to calm down in the next chapters but it didn't start very well.

Well also we need to bear in mind that the girl hasn't had much contact with the guy outside that instant where he started drooling over the blob Sensei, and the job's obviously one that involved regularly putting your life on the line, where one mistake could be fatal. Given her low first impression of him, it's sort of understandable that when measuring him against the standards for such a major job he'd fall far short. Even if she now accepts that he's not insane and will fight if he has to, that still doesn't mean that she has to agree that he's got what it takes in this line of work.

Misuzu is making it really hard for me to continue with this series. There are ways to make a character disagreeable without being downright annoying. Unfortunately, Misuzu is more annoying than disagreeable. I'll give this series another episode but if I can't endure Misuzu any more in the 3rd ep, I may end up dropping this or wait until there are more episodes out and just skip the first few.
