So, I think everyone here has an inkling whose child Kuon is right?
I mean, the clues are there, she was raised by many mothers, no mention of single mother or father...... And the name he give to Haku....... And right now I'm hoping BD will erase the steams, but I think it's empty hope. |

Yeah, I think this episode did a huge amount of covering Kuon's background. Had plenty to speculate with, but this did a lot for nailing some things down.
Maybe one of the best episodes so far. Just a heavy focus on Kuon and seeing her family again after a long time. Plus some nice work done by Haku to calm things down and to get Kuon to relax a bit. Interesting that the growth of Yamato was becoming something of the level that two of the elites of Tusukuru out there to investigate. Certainly those two can handle any problems that come their way . Things still remain pretty darn neutral with Haku and Kuon's relationship, but it's still fun seeing there being no real emotional reaction from Kuon on that question . Yep, some interesting moments to be sure.

I knew it, they were saving Touka's appearance sans headgear for the anime. The staff knows the fans want to see her in all her animated flustered glory
Honestly, this entire episode had me pining for the old cast. Aside from Haku and Kuon (and also the bird), the new cast isn't really doing it for me. I'd rather watch Karura get drunk than be subjected to more annoying Maroro and BL fantasies.

Well, anime is adapted from game. And in game Hakuoro
Spoiler:
Basically, Studio that created Utawarerumono anime, just messed up. And for episode, It was great to see Karura and Touka. Haku got drunk and family talk. Great episode, but there were another bath scenes. It gets a little boring |

This certainly does seem to be a different continuity from the previous anime. Not sure how I feel about that.
Spoiler for difference:
Overall I like this series a lot. If there's one thing I'd like a bit more of, though, it's romance. The previous series seemed to be a little quick to establish a strong romantic interest between the two main characters, but this one seems to be going the entirely opposite direction. It's fine for them to be just friends for a while, but they're emphasizing it so much that I'm starting to wonder whether they can pull them out of the friend zone at all. And it also seems a little odd to see Kuon show absolutely no physical interest in Haku after peeking on him, messing with him in his sleep, and even giving him such a significant name. She should at least still harbor some attraction to him on a physical level, but she acts like even that's an absurd idea. |

Yeah, was real confused about this one. Kuon is now obviously one of the girls' daughter with Hakuoro, but as an anime watcher was confused in that the previous anime, it was pretty much the Eruruu show. Thing is, Kuon doesn't resemble any of the characters, doesn't share any of the ear colours, and only resembles Yuzuha with her tail. But my impression of Yuzuha was that she was so frail that even the act of having sex is going to kill her, much less bear a child.
I'm not sure how to feel about this, but at the very least it seems like Eruruu is not the only one who seems Kuon has the most respect for judging by the flashback, Eruruu is the one she takes after the most, and Eruruu is the one who Kuon followed in her footsteps as a herbalist. So yeah, I CANT HEAR YOU GUYS; Kuon is Eruruu's child, whatever canon says be damned!

My favorite girls from the previous season make their debut and I was not the least bit disappointed. So nostalgic and the banter and reminiscing of the past really warmed my heart watching such a scene unfold.
Karura (Seme) X Touka (Uke) is my head canon!

So.... Haku is surrounded by princesses for his harem... and it looks like another one is coming next episode.
Also, Yamato has some mystery that causes Karura and Touka to investigate. Kuon is on a mission of discovery for herself. She is traveling the world to expand her horizons. I do wish they pick up speed on the plot. It's nice to see the old characters, but I want to see the main story play out a bit now.... or at least show Aruruu!!!
