swordsman, mage, Archer, monk, exc..... I'm a jack of all trades master of none who can't become anything. I drive by myself into a lonely dungeon. Sometimes I swing my sword, sometimes I cast a spell. Sometimes I open the stall like a merchant, sometimes I look for information on the non-existent devil. But most of the time I'm just alone

in this world the concepts of "skills" exist. There many types of skills that people can learn and there's even a school dedicated to teaching the basics of skills. The main character graduated at the top of his class learning every basic skill I could teach at the school for every different class. Only when he goes out to the real world to register at a guild and finally learn intermediate to advanced skills he finds out that class guilds discriminate against each other.
He can't learn magic because he knows fighting skills.
He can't learn fighting skills because he's a magic user.
He can't learn dark magic because he can use light magic.
He can't learn light magic because he can use dark magic.
He can't learn archery because he's a swordsman.
He can't learn scout skills.... because etc etc etc...

With that he's unable to learn any intermediate or advanced skills

Unable to join a guild he goes on living his uneventful lonely life day by day using all the beginning skills you learn to its fullest.... until one day he finds a mysterious talking stick a dungeon.

While uable to learn any intermediate or advanced skills he uses his beginner skills to their fullest advantage. And when I say to the fullest I mean to the fullest.
This man pulls off combo after combo after combo. And some skills when fused together from different classes create some seriously dangerous effects they are comparable to if not superior to some intermediate and high skills.

And all of this is done with just beginner skills. just imagine what he could do when he learns intermediate or advanced skills

Incidentally his fighting style is also the same fighting style as the hero of legend who defeated the demon lord of thousand years ago.

But don't worry he may be a noob but he's actually super strong. He's never actually weak and should not be considered weak even from the beginning... he's just a little unfortunate

Although I said there are skills in this world, there's no such thing as status or levels. the skills are technically just a type of magic

what Kaito meant, very long time ago, the concept of Super Noob was first (I think) born in an online game called Ragnarok Online .. meaning, grinding levels to the utmost level and not doing any class change . . . and not doing a class change limited the player to just the most basic skills one can have . . . not to mention equipments too . . .

Swordsman, Archer, Mage, Acolyte, Thief, Merchant, in RO you start from Novice and choose your initial class then you advanced to second, etc... classes which were advanced forms of the previous ones, if you were a Mage based class you didn't have thief based starting skills. Though regardless of which advanced class you went from the Mage(Wizard/Elementalist) you kept the mage starting skills along with the new advanced class skills.

After a while they introduced the Super Novice which can use all of the first classes starting skills, but can't advance to or use any of the second class ones. Literally a jack of all trades class. When it first came out they had lots of fun balancing it, but I think after a while it became a pretty solid class with the right builds and item sets.


I've seen a few series that have elements similar to RO in LNs and they're usually pretty fun just from knowing that game. Will give this one a try eventually.
