Wow, that sure caught me off-guard with Krusty disappearing thanks to Misa's ominous scythe! Man, so much crap has thrown in after last week's episode!
Oh yeah, I have to point out that the world of Elder Tale is expanding its size, meaning that it will match Earth in terms of its full-scale. Last edited by Benigmatica; 2014-11-08 at 10:16. |

...Spoilers enough, Tuckersister? Geeze, some of us didn't want to know that stuff you're so casually tossing out.
ANYway, I assume the change in the world's size is due to the half-Gaia project turning into a full-sized world, that Adventurers are slowly changing to match their characters (perhaps mentally as well?), and that the event with Crusty and Misa's scythe was due to this flavor-text issue. Somehow it seems like this world is slowly becoming more "real" as time goes on. It is slowly transforming its game-elements into real-world elements. That's... strange and unsettling. What's causing this?

what? Players with teachings (or "OverSkills") can just teach other people it instead of having them get it in a raid? Why not just teach it to everyone in their guild then?
Damn, what a way to end with the weapon. I thought the "Disaster" weapon was just sensing an attack or something bad was going to happen. Well something bad did happen, but didn't think the weapon itself was going to be the cause of it. I did like the 'conclusion' of Akatsuki's character development here with her shifting to a soloer and being a party player finally.

What Akatsuki is hoping for is that she can get enough pieces of information on the general nature of overskills by seeing and learning about specific ones, that she will be able to figure out how to unlock one of her own.

I wonder what effect the flavor text would have had inside the elder tale world if it was all mistranslated with typos and wrong spelling and all that. Most foreign mmorpgs get those errors from time to time when they're localized, like for example the flavor text for melons in the game recettear.

I really enjoyed this episode. Reize definitely rose up to becoming the spotlight character with her screentime in this episode. Rie Murakawa, her seiyuu, did a wonderful job voicing her character. I enjoyed her character design much more now that she plays a more prominent role in the story.
The other world that Akatsuki and Shiroe visited was also very mysterious, I wonder what kind of significance it has that ties Adventurer's to it? It doesn't seem like something that was brought up before, despite being so hauntingly beautiful. The music that played during that scene really was so peaceful, serene, yet foreboding at the same time. We also see a nod to Alakshmi from the DDD Diaries again, although I'm wondering if she'll tie into the main issue at hand; Elder Tale is becoming a reality. The implications that Elder Tale's game mechanics is longer governing the world's natural order is getting into full swing now. The rules that reality between the real world and Elder Tales are becoming more blurred as the World Fracture, Apocalypse, does not seem to have ended yet. Although, why now? Is it coincidence? Numerous changes have been documented by RDR guild:
This eventually climaxes with Krusty being teleported or consumed by Misa's, AKA Sansa's, scythe weapon. What does this mean!? All in all a very good episode. Some minor animation problem with Krusty in certain scenes. Biggest concern was the amount of things happening is a bit overwhelming to take in. We already have two major plot lines; the raid and berserk RG, interlaced with Leynessia and Akatsuki's character development arcs in the first 5 episodes. I'm not sure if introducing more developments with what happened to Krusty and the continuing World Fracture in Elder Tales is the best decision to make for the pacing of the story.

Looks like Akatsuki has matured a bit emotionally and mentally, now her truth growth begins and she gains some bonds of her own besides Shiroe and the others. Things are getting serious in the world, it's changing slowly and surely to be less of a game and more of a real reality. Nuuuuu Crusty, you were one of the best parts of this show!

Cuuuursed items!!! I had suspected that the murder weapon was the one Akatsuki was eye-feasting on everyday, it's good to see that much confirmed. Cursed scythe looks like trouble, did Crusty and his aide just die?
Not that anyone actually dies, they just go back to the lifestream I like how a lot of the game aspects of Elder Tale are slowly giving way to more worldly notions, like expansion of the universe and flavor text being an accurate description instead of just decoration. |

what the hell is happening with Crusty??? Is he permanently removed from the show because he's bored??? XD
We saw a glimpse of Akatsuki in real life.. with more straight hair and longer ponytail <3 and beautiful eyes congratulations Akatsuki! your wish has been granted! you spent Christmas Eve with beloved Shiroe Even Marielle didn't get that chance with Naotsugu! No wonder why people didn't want to die anymore.. watching a sky of memory fragments is scary.. you're like given a short real-world experience and then you can't get anywhere.. your memory is taken.. and you have to go back to that hellish world again... no wonder people are quitting raid-group Apocalypse isn't over yet because everything still changing and become more and more real meanwhile, Akatsuki looks out of character when she relied with friends and speak honest of her mind.. but Raynesia is back to her old character so I'm satisfied let's see what they are going to do in next episode Akatsuki should told Marielle "I meet Shiroe in afterworld.. He's died" then Marielle would be worried sick about Naotsugu |
