[PS3/PSV] Akiba’s Trip 2

Quote:
An Akihabara-set sequel to Acquire’s 2011-released PSP game, its latest depiction of Tokyo’s Electronic Town promises to be a more realistic one. Compared to the previous game, more than two times the amount of real-name stores will appear. The hero will have a partner, and the story will change depending on who your partner is.

Kageyashi, the vampire-like beings from the first game, are not the main threat in Akiba’s Trip 2. Instead it is the mysterious organization called Magaimono, who are attacking people in Akihabara. But like the Kageyashi, Magaimono are sensitive to sunlight. Using techniques like “Unison Strip,” you and your partner will cooperate to take your enemy’s clothes off and bask them in sunlight, turning them to dust.

Akiba’s Trip 2 official website opened

Quote:
Acquire has launched the official Japanese website for Akiba’s Trip 2.

Currently, the site offers “Information” and “Guide” pages. The Information page reveals the game will feature over 130 real-name stores, and the plot, which begins with a mysterious incident in Akihabara, has a multi-story path that changes depending on who you choose as your partner.

Akiba’s Trip 2 Has Over 130 Shops From Akihabara

Quote:
The only difference in Acquire’s game is there are bloodsucking demon creatures creeping around Akihabara. Players can defeat these enemies by exposing them to sunlight – which means stripping off their clothes. Akiba’s Trip 2′s story centers around a conspiracy and the plot changes depending on which partner you have and the decisions you make.

That logo is misleading. The way they put Akiba's Trip all together without any spacing, it could be misread as AKIBASTRIP2

I believe that was the intent since stripping your enemies is a main feature in the combat

I actually read it as Akiba Strip and after watching the PV I thought "So that's why they named it that"
But I, too, think that was intended

This would be the vampire story that would redeem all vampire stories from Twilight

so...no censorship? i don't even no what this game is about, but probably
going to pick it up if no censorship.

thanks, Xseed! hopefully, they'll do Senran Versus next with no censorship as well.

So they are actually doing it right. No censorship, and both languages. I'm pleased. Although I'm happy to hear this news, what surprises me even more is that a game like this would even get localized, lol. Maybe change is coming after all. Now, what the hell version do I get? Damn dilemmas.

This game is bad, unfortunately. I loved the first one like nothing else, because it's basically GTA: Akihabara except you strip vampires down to their underwear. It does a wonderful job of making you feel like you're in Akihabara, and makes excellent use of the limited capabilities of the PSP's hardware. It had interesting, memorable characters, an excellent storyline, and tons of fun things to see and do.

The second one, however...
  • Load times are nasty.
  • Fights are horrendously unbalanced. It will take you five minutes to knock out an enemy, and they can kill you in three hits if you're not careful.
  • The story is weak. Most of it consists of going from one place to another, then having a conversation and heading back to base.
  • Many sidequests are simply unwinnable. At one early point, you're sent to find 3 vampires on the map, and it took me 40 minutes to find two. I never did find the third.

Sucks, because I was really looking forward to it, and I'm sure some of you are too. But you're better off giving this one a pass.

I have it, JPN Vita version, and it's not that bad! I've played only 4 hours, so I were still in the beginning but I'm enjoying it!
