Loved the episode. Miyu's appearance seemed a bit off, since she came from the same line of sight as Illya. Always figured she had popped in from the side and blindsided Rider.
Ruby was really funny this episode. I like how she keeps trolling Illya. So far, the episodes have been enjoyable. I find the comedy segments funnier when watched than read in the manga.
There are a number of interesting things about this alternative Fate/ universe which have yet to be explained. Note that the following are spoilers for Fate/zero but I doubt anyone in this thread hasn't seen it. It also has spoilers for the 2wei manga which some of you may not have read.
Spoiler:
1. In F/Z, Waver is able to summon Rider during the events of the Fourth Holy Grail War. This leads to a series of events which results in him becoming, by the time of the Fifth Holy Grail War in F/SN, Lord El-Melloi II as seen in this episode. However, this flatly contradicts 2wei where it is revealed that the Fourth Holy Grail War never happened, the Einzberns are (apparently) all dead, and Kiritsugu and Iriesviel are both alive.
2. In this continuity, since the Fourth Holy Grail War never happened, there is no reason to assume that Kiritsugu would have found Shirou in the ruins of Fuyuki City center. And yet here he is, in his usual role as Illya's adopted brother and the protag of F/SN. How did Kiritsugu find Shirou then, and why would he adopt him?
I love alternate continuities, but this one raises a lot of interesting questions which remain unanswered as of where we currently are in the 3rei manga.

Which is also drastically different alternative reality where the Fourth Holy Grail War never happened too. But even here Waver was still able to become Lord El-Melloi II. And there is also villain-like character which is similar to Shirou, named Shirou Kotomine. Although it's not currently certain if this character is truly original Shirou, but if he is, then he was probably also adopted. And in Fate/Kaleid Liner, Illya mentions that Shirou was an orphan.
Which leads us into the conclusion that:
1. Waver will become Lord El-Melloi II in any case, even without the influence of the events of the Fourth Holy Grail War.
2. Shirou in all realities was an orphan who never had own family.
On today's episode of Card Captor Sakura Fate/Kaleid Liner, our heroine is seen practicing embarrassing poses with her magical stick. We see a flashback with someone whom I apparently did not recognize as adult Waver Velvet a.k.a. Lord El Melloi II. I did not catch this Zelretch Cameo however.
I did notice something about the sticks though. There's a part of it just below the 'head' that kind of resembles that weird gem sword. Does Zelretch have something to do with them?
Oh, and then our heroine almost got killed by Rider and someone entirely different jumped in and sealed it. Looks like someone's a better Card Captor Kaleid Liner.

^I see, that explains why the stick can break the barrier between parallel worlds. I do not exactly know what this "Second Magic" thing is but I know it's Zelretch's schtick.
It was sweet seeing adult Waver. He's manly as hell now. His meeting with Rider had a very positive influence on him (although he probably hasn't met him in this universe... so nevermind).
The fight against Rider was good. Nice touch to get her original seiyuu. I thought they wouldn't bother since she only has one line (actually one word...).
Miyu's entrance wasn't as good as in the manga. It would have been better to make her suddenly appear out of nowhere instead of showing her walking slowly. Would have made it more shocking and it would explain why Rider didn't react.
Great fight scene, nice cliffhanger ending, and neat references for fans of other Fate/ properties. Good dialogue chemistry between Illya, Rin, and Ruby.
I kind of missed not seeing a magical girl transformation scene in this episode, but I trust we'll see some in future episodes at least.
