The Borgias (tv show)
"On the eve of the death of Pope Innocent VIII in 1492, a fierce political battle rages inside the Vatican walls over who will become the next pope. The papacy has long been the exclusive domain of a handful of super-powerful and ancient Italian families, so outsider Cardinal Rodrigo Borgia seems like a long shot. But the staid, pious Italians vastly underestimate the ambitions of the wily, rapacious Spaniard. Once ensconced on the throne, Rodrigo uses all of his power and influence to turn the papacy into a dynastic possession for his children, while his rivals plot with all their political might to unseat him." Anybody else excited? I've already seen the first episode and I've been blown away by the production value. Don't wanna spoil anything, tho Discuss away!

Looks promising, but they could've at least changed St Peter's Basilica to the old one that was still standing in this time (the current one if from the XVI and XVII th centuries).
On the subject, I'd recommend the manga Cesare.

This is exactly what I thought... okay, my thoughts were more along the lines of "and we have Ezio to take these guys down..." I should probably first beat AC: Brotherhood though to find out what precisely happens to the Borgia regime (or Wiki it)

Absolutely loved the premier of it, Lucrezia seems very interesting like she is obfuscating stupidity/simpleness but she is actually one of the more intelligent siblings, as conniving as Cesare it may seem.
Is this before or after Ezio steals the apple?
