Guess that's a good sign for possible "Green Light" for Season 2.
Though i do wonder what would happen to the Manga adaptation, since its quite far behind in plot, which could end up becoming the reason for the delay of possible Season 2.
By the way, can anyone here make a "List of Difference" between the Anime and Light Novel (not Web Novel).
The anime was one of the best adaptations of a light novel that I saw in years, but it still has the same deffect that the mayority of the other ligh novel adaptations, it lacks episodes, the anime is basically a censored and shortened version of the ln, the scenes with Anos' parents were specially butchered, the volume 3 is the longest of the three adapted books, the volume 1 has 350 pages, the volume 2 has 400 more or less and the 3 has 460, so it's the one with more eliminated and modified scenes.
Spoiler for Differences:
The novel starts with Anos' death two thousand years ago as the prologue, in the anime this is the beginning of episode 2.
Two thousand years later, on a remote village away from Delzogade, Anos wakes up on his new body, his parents were just going to decide a name for him but their new born child suddenly talks, introduces himself as Anos Voldigord, begins to talk about nonsenses like him being the reincarnation of someone and makes himself ten years old with magic, the next day an owl with a letter inviting Anos to attend the school arrives, Anos decides to move to the capital alone for attending the school, his parents refuse and accompany him. A flashback at the beginning of the episode 2 showed the parents being surprised when Anos talks but the rest was skipped.
The day of the entrance exam, Anos makes himself 16 years old with magic, his parents accompany him until the gates and begin to cheer on him there, Anos walks away from them and then he hears a man cheering on Misha almost as if competing with his parents, he talks to Misha and the two enter the exam together, the noble guy appears and makes fun of them, Anos lets him on the dust while being surprised at his weakness.
The written exam, the combat exam, Anos enters the arena and the noble guy from before makes himself Anos' opponent forcefully for humilliating him, the noble guy is nothing for Anos, he just kills him and resurrects him again and again until he gives up, the noble guy's older brother enters the arena and kills him for bringing shame to the family losing to Anos and proceeds to try to puninsh Anos for his disrespect, he isn't nothing for Anos either and Anos does all of the zombification thing.
Anos goes to the part of the exams where he's asked questions that just the founder should know, he meets Misha in front of the machine that measures the magic power, Anos goes after Misha and breaks it, Misha is surprised seeing Anos breaking the machine because he had to much magic power. Anos and Misha meet at the school gate after the exam and Anos invites her to his house, Anos' mother begins to make a fuse when she sees Anos and Misha together while misunderstanding things, after having dinner together Anos apologizes about the fuse his parents made, Misha says she's fine because she's used to it, Anos asks Misha if her father is this noisy too while remembering about the man cheering on Misha before the exam, Misha explains that man wasn't her father, just a buttler, she explains about her family and says she has an older sister she wants to make up with, after that Anos teleports Misha to her house. In the anime Anos doesn't teleport Misha he walks her back to her house and on their way the noble guy appears bringing his older brother and his gang for ambushing Anos instead of making it at the moment of the exam. No more changes worth mentioning until episode 5.
The flashback with Shin, this scene was modified too, in the LN Shin defeats the great water spirit without moving from his kneeling position in front of Anos, in the LN their lines on that scene are different from the ones said on the anime too.
Emilia announces the results of the expedition to the inside of Anos' castle and the theft of Anos' scepter, Sasha complains about how the school is using the theft for lowering Anos' points, Misa joins her and accuses Emilia and the school of doing things that way just because Anos isn't a pure blood, Anos puts and end to the discussion recovering the scepter from inside the stomach of one of his noble classmates, after this Misa talks to Anos about the unionist demons and invites him to go after class to their union tower, after class Anos is introduced to his fan union, Misa explains the history of their families, why they joined the unionist demons and asks Anos to accept them as his subordinates, Anos tells them to fight against him two days later and show their determination fighting him if they want to be his subordinates.
The next day Rei arrives to the school and asks Anos to let him enter his team Anos refuses and tells him to join Misa and his fans for fighting against his team the next day. After that the class has the special training with the two demons created by Anos , Anos and Rei defeat one of them each. In the anime this fight ended in seconds but in the LN at least Rei needed some time to defeat his opponent and it's after this fight when Rei introduces himself to Anos.
The next day, Anos' team fights against Rei, Misa and Anos' fans, in the LN Anos and Rei first watch how Sasha and Misha fight against Misa and the fan union, this fight in the anime was modified and shortened, in the LN Sasha's and Misha's jio graze defeats completely the fan union except Misa who uses her spirit magic and Rei's magic sword for almost defeating Sasha, Sasha heals herself with the robe that Anos gave her but it's having problems fighting Misa due to her spirit magic hiding her well, Misha joins Sasha and together defeat Misa, after their fight Anos Rei negin their match, in the anime their match was slightly shortened too and happened at the same time that the girls' fight.
Anos accepts Rei and Misa on his team and invites them to his house, Anos' mother misunderstands this time that Rei is Anos' boyfriend, everyone tries to tell her that it isn't like that, when she sees Misa she just greets her normally as if she was just Anos' friend and nothing else, Sasha complains about Misa being the only one who gets a normal reaction, everyone has dinner together and after that Anos' mother explains Misha and Sasha about how it was suppossed to be almost impossible for her to get pregnant ang how the child inside her was even temporarily dead for a moment until someday the child inside her regained his strenght and then Anos was born, in the anime a lot of this was skipped. The part of the anime about the swordmanship tournament was mostly loyal to the novel.
The flashback of Anos is completely different in the anime, in the LN Anos defeated the whole city before facing Kanon and Jerga, Jerga tries to make an opening for Kanon to attack Anos and Anos defeats him, then Anos leaves, Kanon is left wondering if something that Anos said before is the truth or not, Jerga tells him to not believe on his words and teleports to the place where he was beginning his preparations for becoming magic.
The morning after the tournament Misha went to learn how to cook from Anos' mother and after that she woke him up, the two go together to the school and meet there with Sasha, Rei and Misa, the anime skipped the scene with just Anos and Misha.
Menou appears and tells everyone she will be Emilia's sustitute while a replacement isn't selected, she explains everyone about the trip to hero school, after Anos explanation of the heroes' magic for the classroom Menou leaves the class alone for self studying for the time being, Anos uses that time for training Misha, Sasha, Misa and Rei. In the anime this training is made to look as something that Anos did just one day on his free time, in the novel Anos spent a week teaching his team members everything about the heroes' magic and being their opponent.
The day of their departure, Anos just teleports with everyone to Azeshion to Menou's surprise, after telling to Menou that his team arrieved already to the city, Anos decides to go to the hero school for researching their legends about the past, about Kanon and him, he finds Sasha on his way and both meet with Eleonor at the school gate, she offers herself as their guide, the library scene was the same in both versions, Eleonor guides Sasha and Anos to the gate after that and warms Anos to not get involved too much with the humans because they didn't change after 2000 years, in the anime Eleanor tells Anos that even if he looks for Kanon he won't find the Kanon he once knew because the humans killed him, then him and Sasha go back to their dormitory and later to the festival where they see Misa and Rei together. In the LN Anos uses magic for hiding himself and goes back to the library, there he listens to Redriano, Laos and Haine talking, Laos is saying that he let himself to be defeated that easily on purpose for surprising the demons later, Eleanor just listens to the three laughing and talking about their surprise for demons, she discovers Anos is there too and flies away from the library for talking with just him, Eleanor explains to Anos that Kanon was killed by humans and that even if he finds him he won't be the same person he once knew, after that Anos leaves this time for real and meets with Sasha again on the school gate, He tells Sasha about Laos' charade and plan and Sasha decides she will make him pay for his rudeness next time. On their way back to the dorms they find Rei and Misa having their date and look at them from the distance.
The day of the first combined class of humans and demons, Anos and Misha walk together to the audotiry prepared for the lesson, in the anime the team that arrived to Gairidite in second place accuses Anos of overtaking them cheating somehow but in the novel that doesn't happen, in the anime both sides are supposed to demonstrate some spells to each other, in the LN it was just a game where a student from one side makes questions to students of the other, Redriano stands in front of a blackboard and asks the demon side if anyone knows the effect and magic formation of the spell liht, no demon knows about it, Ribest, the demon that leads the team who arrived in the second place to Gairadite tells that they have to make a norm to not allow one side to not asks the other things that aren't really common sense for the other or it won't be a fair game, Redriano says that they aren't asking nothing that it isn't common sense for them, Ribest asks Redriano this time to explain the effect and magic circle of a magic called Meid, Redriano gives the right answer, Diego tries to make all the demons like idiots for not knowing the answer to Redriano's question but Anos stands and gives the right answer, Diego says that the part of Anos' answer that says that magic called Liht can create sacred swords is wrong and tries to make him look like an idiot again for that, Anos uses the magic for creating the sacred sword and makes Diego to look like the idiot instead for not knowing that the magic was able of that despite Anos being a demon and Diego a hero, Diego decides to end the quizz contest and begins with the normal lessons while the demons make fun of him for running away. Diego makes several more attemps of making he demons to look like idiots for not knowing this or that but Anos always has the right answer.
That afternoon, the combat lesson, Menou is talking with his students about who to send as the heroes' opponents, the anime showed the demons from the nobility against sending Anos forth but in the novel that never happened, they even didn't object against the idea of lending members to Anos' team so he would have the required numbers, in the middle of the discussion Ribest volunteers himself and his team for suffering them first the human's underhanded tactics instead of Anos so it would easier for him to win in the end if his team can't win against the human side, Anos tells him that he's surprised about him offering himself as his stepping stone, and Ribest says that even if he hates him for his lies about the founder he's still a member of the demons side, that to fight without abandoning noone and to do what it takes to win are the things that the fouder always did, so it's sommon sense for them to do it too, Anos is happy at seeing that this part of demons at least didn't change.
The fight of Ribest's team against the heroes was pretty much same that in the novel, after his defeat Anos takes his place and challenges the Jergakanon class, Diego opposes it and says that Anos team has to fight too first against a class of third year students from their side, Anos accepts, while the other team takes position inside the lake Anos and his team stay out having a tactic talk, Rei and the fangirls say they can't use the magic for fighting underwater, Misha and Sasha talk about what to do with the holy water on the lake, Anos says that they just need to make it so they can control the water and use it against them, when Sasha asks him how to do it Anos evaporates the lake with his magic, the steam explosion defeats the students from the other side, Anos uses magic for taking them out of the former lake and tells the guys from Jergakanon to go forth.
The fight between Anos team and Jergakanon is a shortened and censored version of what happens in the novel, it had all of it's dialogues rewriten except some few sentences, the Sasha vs Raos and Rei vs Haine are completely different on the novel and had their ends skipped, in the novel Sasha used her poison for making Raos unable of using magic again, Rei filled Haine's body of wounds that couldn't be healed with magic using powers of his sacred swords he knew nothing about, all of that was skipped and unexplained, the fight between Anos' asku and Redriano's asku was completely different in the novel too, the trauma of having his asku defeated by the fangirls' song made Redriano a hikkikomori but the anime didn't explain that either, everything that happens between Misha entering the temple looking for Eleonor and Anos killing Diego was completely rewriten too. In the novel after Anos kills Diego and releases Eleonor from her bubble the ten thousand Zeshias weren't in that room, just Eleonor was there, of course the anime modified slightly this scene for the sake of the censore, the two promise to meet again the next day after classes for exchanging stories, Eleonor goes to remove the self destroying magic from her classmates and Anos takes Misha to a place where she can rest and recover from her wounds.
The next morning, all of the students of the hero side are talking about the horribe fate that Jergakanon met fighting against Anos' team, Anos is worried because Eleanor isn't anywhere, Anos and Misha are surprised at seeing Diego appearing and continuing the lectures as if nothing happened, Anos asks Diego about Eleonor and Diego tells that her just like every member of Jergakanon will be absent that day due to the tiredness, Anos doesn't buy it and after classes he hides hemself with magic and follows Diego. Anos arrives to the evaporated lake and watch Diego enter a cave on the opposite direction of the temple, the cave has a secret military base inside, Anos sees the cave's inside is a mess and wonders about what happened there, he listens to Diego asking a soldier if they got any new information about the ones who attacked the cave the previous day, the soldier says they didn't, Diego tells him to make it look like it's the demons doing for having a reason to declare war on them, after Anos continues exploring the cave and finds a secret room where Eleonor and the ten thousand Zeshias are trapped in bubbles of holy water.
Anos and Eleonor exchange stories, she tells Anos about her being magic, Jerga's plan and Kanon's death and how she just continues creating new Zeshias and Diegos, Anos explains her that he's the real demon king, their explanations in the novel were the whole thing, not the summarized version of things from the anime, Eleonor asks Anos to destroy her, Anos refuses and tells her he will save her and the ten thousand Zeshias, the novel explains us here that Anos needs to destroy Jerga first for saving Eleonor but the anime skipped it, in the middle of their talk they realize there's a fight on the temple, Anos teleports there and sees the suppossed Avos Dilhevia and the remaining seven great demon nobles under his control stealing Evansmana, Anos tries to fight them but they run away, Anos teleports away from there too thinking that it would troublesome to explain why he was on the theft scene if he's asked.
Anos goes back to the student dorms and sees it surrounded by soldiers that have it completely locked inside a barrier with Menou and all of the students, except Anos' team members that were visiting the festival again, inside, Anos enters the barrier and sees with Menou and the rest of the students Diego's war declaration, after that Melheis contacts Anos too and tells him that the supposed Avos Dilhevia showed Diego's war declaration to the demons too and just after that he made his own, Anos contacts his team member, he tells them to gather and to not go back to the student dorm because it's surrounded by soldiers, Anos teleports back to Eleonor's place, she's already aware of the war declaration, he tells her that he can help her and the Zeshia's to run away if it's now, Eleonor refuses and says that if it's a war she and the Zeshia's have the duty of protecting as many humans as possible, that now that it came to that he will have to destroy them no matter what, Anos tells Eleonor that neither the humans or the demons will win the war, that he will be the only winner, he tells her to resist with her all until the end without letting anyone to die be it ally or enemy and he will take care of the rest, Anos teleports to the tower of his fan union. The anime skips everything between Anos taking Eleonor out of her bubble for stopping the self destroying attack and Anos' return to Delzogade
Anos' team members plus the four of the seven great demon nobles on his side where waiting for him, they decide on their plans for stopping the war and the next mornig depart.
Misha and Sasha go to stop the part of the army that it is late to join the main force, Rei has to stop alone the demons' main force from crossing the border with the humans, Misa and the fangirls have to interfere with demons' intelligence unit and information gathering so their chain of command works as badly as possible and it slows their march and decision making, the four great noble demons on Anos side capture the other three, Anos receives a comunication that says Rei is missing and realizes Avos Dilhevia's true identity and aim, Anos teleports to a forest on the route of the human army but at some distance from them, he finds the suppossed Avos Dilhevia there and tells Rei/Kanon he already discovered his identity, Anos explains Rei everything he found suspicious until then and how he discovered him, Rei explains Anos about how he kept oppossing Jerga's plan until he ordered his assasination, Rei talks about how he played death but currently he went to the demons' side for warning them about Jerga's plan, then with their help he made his own plan for protecting him creating the fake demon king, about how he cut his fate with his sword so he wouldn't reincarnate as the demon king, about their subordinates not forgetting his name even then and promising to stay away from him until the great battle was over, about the seven great noble demons erasing their memories and taking in Kanon's roots willingly so they couldn't tell Anos the truth before the time is come and him reincarnating again until that day waiting for the day where he impersonates Avos Dilhevia and dies in the hands of the humans for taking their hatred away with him. In the anime the great majority of the both's stories was skipped, in Rei's case the anime just told that he cutting Anos' fate alone did the trick.
Anos opposes Rei's sacrifice and the two begin their fight for protecting the other, their fight is longer and completely different in the novel compared to the anime's, the moment when Anos makes Rei to destroy his root was modified in the anime too, his last moment as Avos Dilhevia was slightly modified too, the scene of Diego losing control was shortened and rewriten too, everything that happens between Jerga appearing and Anos and Rei killing him was modified and shortened, everything after Jerga's death is anime original with the exception of Sasha and Misha hugging Anos while crying and Anos taking over Eleonor.
An anime that uses 4 episodes per novel is VERY generous. I think the usual count is 3 episodes per novel and some butcher it to 2 episodes per novel (though that usually ends terribly). Some of the novel material always gets left out, but I feel this one had pretty good pacing.

Yes, you're right, the pacing of this anime was really good, that is one of the reasons I say that it was the best adaptation of a novel that I saw on years, but at least for me it still felt lacking, I think that the studios should look more to how many pages has everybook instead that at the number of books they adapt, four chapters per volume for a book that has less that has between 250 and 300 pages is on the limit of being enough, with more than that you have to take out big chunks of the story, I think that one more chapter for volumes 2 and 3 would have done the trick for this anime.

Misha and Sasha naturally has most focus. Misa has a lot of screen time too, but she is not Anos' love interest.
And I am sure no one is going count how many letters are in their chapters just to find out who has has the longer.
