It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it might be, and was fairly enjoyable.
Ganbare, Fubuki! I'm rooting for you. And for some strange and probably migraine-induced reason, I think that Admiral's going to do the same thing as Broducer, and avoid any pairing routes, and just focus on taking care of the shipgirls. Nagato seems to be fairly effective as a command unit. She's apparently experienced enough to be an effective leader, and by using her as the command unit you free up your heavy hitters to go and kick ass. I approve. Also she and Mutsu are cute. ...Atago is pretty, but I think I prefer the other Atago, although Arpeggio Takao remains the flagship of my heart.

Wait, wouldn't that be kind of a spoiler? I guess I can just say, to all newcomers, there will be fawning over a specific group of lolis. Like, a lot of fawning, just to let you know, so try to not get overwhelmed. Or disgusted. |

Most of the destroyers would be "Special Types" since almost all of them are based on Fubuki in some way. I think only two predate Fubuki. Fubuki would be the first though.
Jintsuu has two troublesome sisterships.

Someone tell me if Kongou has an Admiral Fanclub, I'd like to tell her I'm joining to give her a hand as an informant pointing towards where the good Admirals are.
Also explains why I kinda like the series despite not playing it. Yeah, I'm a fan of Admirals. Call it watching a show for the wrong reasons, if you might say.

I'd like to perceive that the end of the episode was the icing on the cake. Sure, we're not alone in wanting to see his face. But some others don't want to, so let's admire a nicely-shaded, moving not-so-opaque shadow on the ground. It's for the best.

I also didn't expect we could get this good of the battle. The launching sequence is so great.

As I have posted a few pages back, the Admiral WILL NOT show up this anime.
Maybe a shadow (like in first episode), but his/her face will not show up. As for those who don't understand the concept of this anime, few quick answers: 1. Settings are similar to Arpeggio of the Blue Steel except this time it's the monstrous Shinkaisei-kan (Abyssal Ships) who are the enemies and they are shrouded in mystery, where in some cases they are thought to be evil spirits of vengeance of old sunken ships, USA Ships, or even sunk Kanmusu (Ship Girls) 2. The Ship Girls who get damaged from attacks will have their equipments and clothes damaged as they have some special effects of protection on them. However they may die/sink if they take too much damage (also known as Heavily Damaged, and sunk if fully destroyed) 3. The Bath you saw this episode is a place where they are "healed" after they return from battle. |

God damn, that OP was so resonant and awesome. I want the full version already.
A pretty nice introductory episode Pulled out all the stops here, especially with the equipipment-fitting sequence. Already cannot wait for the second episode. |

Can't wait to see the Slice of Life part soon. Not too sure if that's how it will be next episode.
More curious how many bosses they will show and up to which type of enemy ships they will show. My wish is that they show Standard Carrier Wo-class Kai Flagship since it's one of the most badass looking. |
