IRL we have access to wikis and online guides. We just have to look up a particular piece of info off the net if we're in a bind. They don't have that luxury. W/c makes things even harder. Though I doubt the MMO veterans here would mind very much considering they also didn't have a wealth of online guides or wikis back in the day
And after the memory loss consequence is brought to the table powering through and getting wiped a couple of times in order to get "the winning formula" for clearing a dungeon, raid or boss (like a certain magic god conquering level 0
) suddenly doesn't look that feasible anymore.
