If Eu did not love Ayumu she could simply remove the direct rapport where her Mana flows to him maintaining his undead existence (he could have died again from his wounds since episode 1 otherwise). Also, she heals his wounds even if it hurts her so much, if that is not out of love I can't think of another reason.

Eu always dream of entering a peaceful world and wants to live peacefully with the King of the Night and her bodyguards. On the other side, Ayumu meet Nene, a BL mangaka whose works are appreciated by Saras. The latter is making a new concert, but Ayumu is coming late because he's busy working with Nene. One of my favorite episodes so far, very relaxing, sweet and heartwarming with some romantic moments.

Episode 9 explains something I've been wondering about

A long time ago, Eu's world and the Masou Shoujo world were at war. Eu's world call their warriors Megalo which are probably the origin of all Megalo we see in present times. This also explains why Megalo hunt Masou Shoujo. It's in their blood.

I'm guessing that the war has either stopped, or it's currently ongoing and Eu is the head of state in exile.

Outside the well-accepted facts that he has a personality, can be a bad-ass, is not thick-headed when it comes to girls, and usually non-accidental pervert... he also does not take his harem's antics out of context, and loves instead of objectifying them.

I don't think that Ayumu fully understands that most of the girls in his harem actually like him. Like he isn't noticing some hints of jealousy from Haruna in some occasions or Sera's feelings because she acts somewhat as a tsundere. I am not sure that he thinks that Tomonori really likes him, but probably thinks that she is somewhat forced to thanks to their traditions when he kissed her in the first season. Or in the case Kyoko, she has also fallen for him but he didn't notice that untill she "confessed" to him last episode etc.

I think Ayumu was well aware of some girls love him but not all. I'm aware that he knows Yuki and Sara's likes him and he thinks Sera's hates him while he thinks sisterly love for Haruna even though Haruna is tsun tsun dere for him.

Now to the episode itself... that was one of the most clever exposition episode... they used so many ways to talk about the Yuu's past, underworld/magic realm, Kris, etc. etc.

But I get this feeling that they mixed in Saras to make the 20 minute mark, shifting from one chapter to the other felt unnatural.

Anyway, the reappearance of the King of Night was also nice. I really liked his character, and his arc was really messed up in the first season.

@hyl/tsunade666: concerning the "harem dynamics"...

• Yuu is his friend/companion, except from harmless imouto fantasies, there is not even a hint of romance
• Haruna is like Ayumu's jelous pet, and Ayumu treats her the same way
• Sera just begun to realize Ayumu's potential as a lover (thanks to the power of BL), otherwise behaves like an older sister
• Tomonori despite her social standards, is more childish than Haruna to be taken seriously
• Saras is too perverted and stubborn for Ayumu's taste, but started to improve since the last episode
• Kaname is more interested in Anderson and Orito
• Kyouko fell in love and confessed in one episode, but by the end of it disappeared
• Nene just appeared
• Ariel has absolutely no romantic interest in him
• Chris is his drinking buddy

That's why I don't really think of the show as harem, the romance part is supposed to be the main dynamic in a harem show, while here it is hardly present.
