Woohoo, received my copy today! Which means a whole week-end of MGSV!

It's actually the first time I get a game early, and it's the game I've been anticipating the most in years.

After playing it for over 5 hours, I can say the game is as awesome as it looked to be. There is a serious lack of cut-scenes for a Metal Gear Solid game though. It's simple, past the (incredible) prologue and Miller's rescue, I haven't seen a single cut-scene in close to 4 hours of gameplay.

I hope the plot will kick into high gear later. Right now, the only thing it's about is the development of Motherbase.

It's like Peace Walker, but much more interactive. And, er... The cut-scenes no longer have a single 20+ mins long?

Don't forget to listen to the tapes, early impressions from players say they contain tons of plot details.

I don't know, I'm still very early in the game. I assume there'll be some long cut-scenes here and there, but if these first few hours are any indications, they'll be very sparse.

I am. In fact, I almost missed DD because I couldn't hear his barking over the sound of the tape I was listening back then. Good thing Miller mentioned him over the radio.

The tapes do contain a lot of info regarding what happened during the nine years Big Boss was in a coma. There's some stuff about Ocelot too.

If i recall, those who bought Ground Zero will get something extra in Phantom Pain. So will these extras still be available if you bought both Ground Zero and Phantom Pain?

Yes a free dl for steam, all you need is to get the special soldiers/prisoners you extracted and the skins of MGS1 Solid Snake, Cyborg Ninja and Raiden.

Leaks say that you play as a create a "BIG BOSS" player(in the OP of the hospital prompted to create a player for online) the medic aka Ishmael. The real Big Boss will be playable later on (because the game will havea a patch) and a possible true ending in Zanzibar Land where you play Solid Snake to kill the real Big Boss.

Dunno if I would believe this or not, but spoil me for those who have the advance copy.

I was just called by the store who informed me that their delivery of Phantom Pain will be delayed by a few days.



I am now faced with a dilemma: cancel my preorder and get the game on STEAM for PC or PSN Store online, which are downloads that are huge, or wait it out.

As there is only an about 8 MB steam installer on the DVD for the PC version... I't won't matter if you get the download or the retail pc version... you have to download the game anyway...

I know this, because I checked... well at least I was already able to register the key in my steam... so I can start downloading tomorrow evening.

There's only one store locally that sells them.

Anyway question to those who downloaded from PSN: Before I went to work and before the official opening time I downloaded a 4GB file for the game, and then supposedly you can download the rest of the 25GB when the official timer ends. My question is... does the download of the rest of the files automatically start when the timer and the 4GB download ends, or do you have to be in-game while the rest download in the background?
