I ended up didn't level Naka at all as i thought she is not CL(t) so might not worth it. Not sure if it was the right thing to do....

Of course want to level her up for the collection, but does not feel hurry to do so now (Kisunaga for example)

Barring a fully-equipped Yuubari (remember, ASW equipment effects are multiplicative rather than just cummulative), Naka-chan Kai-2 now has one of the best ASW stats for CLs. It's hilarious how many 27-hp subs I 1-hit at 4-3 now with her.

Incidentally did ANYONE expect the Asashio, Michishio, Nagashio, and Ooshio Composition/Sortie quest? The sortie quest especially, as it requires you to send them to 2-3 (with two other ships) and win at the boss node. It's a good thing mine are level 20 already due to expeditions, but still...

Actually, a few had been wondering why the 7th (Oboro/Akebono/Sazanami/Ushio) & 8th DD Division didn't have a composition/sortie quest while the Akatsuki class a.k.a the 6th DD Division did, as these named few had their own share of dramatic history as much as the 6th did. So some players had been speculating for a while.

Now that the 8th received their update, I think we can expect a couple more DD composition/sortie quests in the future.

Let's hope they don't get any worse than the 18th DD Division sortie quest... clearing 3-1 with 4 DD is just.... orz

Well it won't likely be JUST the DDs. Sortie quests usually add in two more ships to complete a fleet roster (and to not make a sortie impossible unless RNG smiles on you).

The thing is, what CAN you bring when the rest of the fleet is just DDs? They don't exactly have hitting power for day battles... A CV and a BB?

I just brought the CLT duos to finish off two mooks during day battle and finish off two more in night battle for an A win. It worked out okay. The annoying part is getting to the boss.

Can we just send both the Fifth Carrier and the 18th destroyers out , doing 3-1 and finish both quest in the same time? Or it won't work that way?

You definitely can.
Actually I think that composition is doable too, you just need Zuikaku and Shoukaku to be high enough level to hold their own (as in not get hit and get disabled.)

Uhm, yeah. Was tempted to try Yamato since Klashikari tweeted this morning of his success with the 4k/6k/6k/2k/20 recipe, but I think I'll wait until I get some more, especially steel and bauxite.

Does anyone have recipes for Zuikaku using LSC? It used to be on the wiki but for some reason was taken off.

Only Goya/1-58 and Imuya/I-168 are buildable. Everyone else was an event reward or drop. Unless you want Maruyu... :P

Just use the lowest-price and most-tested Carrier recipe, aka 3.5/3.5/6k/6k/20 and pray hard. Zuikaku is like a 5-6% chance regardless.

I did notice there's a quest of forming a fleet with 3 I-submarines. I guess I wouldn't be able to do it until the others become buildable/introduced in future events?

No, it's for three subs. You can do it with Goya, Imuya, and Maruyu for example.

At this point Yamato is just the babysitter for Agano and Noshiro during 4-3 sub hunts, but the exp is good, and anything that Yamato hits DIES.

I rotate teams, but right now I have the sub hunt quest active so... And usually it's Nagato who's on babysitting duties during 4-3 sub hunts.

EDIT: Tried crafting more 46cm guns, but guh, no success. 41 cm guns would have been fine too.

I had an interesting week. I got Kirishima, Hiei and Souryu from drops but having 0 luck at construction. I keep getting ships I don't want/need.

Chiu_fan: The fandom has something called a "desire meter" -- the more you desire something (Desire meter max), the less RNG will smile on you to GIVE it to you. There's also a higher chance that you'd get something you otherwise weren't looking for (like getting a Shimakaze rather than the Hatsukaze you were farming 3-4 for).

And cripes, Yamato is doing a number on ammo reserves. Can't imagine how much I'll spend in the end before she hits her remodel level of 60. On the bright side, anything she hits she somehow just crits on, which means that, of all the sorties I've put her into, she's the MVP 80% of the time. Which means she levels very quickly (she's level 25 now, imagine that).
