Clannad's Opening gives me a mixture of happiness and Sadness whenever I hear it, it's just a beautiful song. Again from Clannad, it makes me happy and yet I tear up as well.

This is NOT an anime song but I thought it fit here as I did not want to start a new thread. It's vocals, has lyrics (different language, no idea though). It's from the game called Dragon Age Origins by EA.
Fills me up with mixed good emotions. Makes me think about life, what I've done, memories . Just listen! The vocals are very nice, well sung, and soft.

This is the most intensely beautiful song I’ve ever heard. When listening to it I can almost smell the ocean air and see a clear blue sky over glittering seas as it paints a picture of a gorgeous but lonely summer.

- Energizing Songs -
Quote:
The first ending song from Nana , A Little Pain, always did that to me as well. So did Winter Sleep (the 5th ending) There was this lovely electric guitar song they sometimes played at the end of Saishuheiki Kanojo episodes which also had the same effect. Hikaru no Go had some of the most energizing music as well that inspired countless viewers to become obsessed with a strange board game. Shades of Revolution from Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen, even after like a million listens when that trumpet part comes in I still get chills. For a while there I was obsessed with all that high-energy eurobeat music they would always play in Initial D also. That stuff can really get you wanting to go out and race in your p.o.s car. - Depressing Songs - In Memories: KO-TO-WA-RI from Rurouni Kenshin: Tsuiokuhen could possibly be the best background music written for film or TV in my opinion. You could probably add all the other tracks from that anime to this category as well. The soundtrack was a pinnacle of perfection. Full Moon o Sagashite had some of the most touching music as well as depressing pieces which helped make it my favorite anime. Sayonara the ending song from Saishuheiki Kanojo might be the single most depressing song I've heard. Memories from One Piece (ED01) still makes me a little teary eyed even after all these years. Gundam Seed had some of the most emotion invoking (pretty much all emotions) background music and opening & ending songs of any anime I've seen. - Thought-Invoking Songs - Mushishi, Shingetsutan Tsukihime, Hitsuji no Uta, Maria-sama ga Miteru, .Hack//Sign, Madlax, Noir, Mai Otome, Mai Hime all created this sort of atmosphere with their music that sort of makes your mind drift off and ponder. ----- ...I'm going to have to expand on this at a later date when I can reminisce a bit on various animes and their music. |
