How else does one explain the uniform? Sure, there may have been circumstances, and I would prefer it if there were...but come on. That would make the cover a subtle troll for people who over think things too much.

It can't be the Summer before Touma met Index? The timescale would fit.
As we have no indication of Misaki's age, we have no idea how long she has been in Tokiwadai...

Past: Misaki on 1st year and Touma on 2nd year.


Now: Misaki on 3rd year and Touma 1st year of HS.

That would make sense to:
l
- Misaki seeking to enroll on Touma's HS .
- Misaki and Komoe knowing each other.
- Mikoto questioning if Misaki is really a MS student.

The timescale would fit, setting aside her rapid growth. I wouldn't mind if it's a year or so, it's just that we'd have to seriously think about the possibility that Shokuhou's age isn't reflected in her grade level. That, or some physical experimentation to affect her physical age which links to Komoe's...size.

Now if THAT was the situation Kamijou saved her from, I'd be happy. It would also mean Komoe's position as a senior member in the harem is indisputable.

As far as I'm concerned, it's a perfectly legitimate thing to discuss in regards to fitting this volume's placement in the Index timeline.

One does not simply develop PLOT in such a short span of time after all.

Is there a beach in AC? I thought it just might be there and she was just trying to fulfill Dolly's promise and boom this hair sprayed Touma decides hes going to try and hit on this beauty.
