it's nowhere near its end! he's probably just doing slash/dog because he wants something else to write whenever he'd like to take a break from DxD?

at least that's what im hoping honestly i have no desire to even look up slash/dog since Highschool DxD has ruined everything else for me since it's so good everything else is just so bad...

so i really hope your wrong about this.

It could be that he has received a high volume of requests for more slash/dog stories since he has been in the spot light so much in DxD.

Ukh, i don't want to see this series comes to an end. There are so many things in DxD world that can be explored and i think i don't like the SLASH/DOG work

Over 60k copies last I heard which is very good sales for a Light novel.

I doubt DXD is ending any time soon.

Story arc 4 isn't even near its climax yet, and we still have story arc 5 to enjoy after this (which, going by Ishibumi's pattern of making each story arc longer than the previous one, is gonna be quite long). DxD won't end anytime soon.

Anyway, with volume 18 so close, any wild guess about how the battle in heaven will be played?

What kind of powers will the triumph cards display?

And how will the battles progress?

My guess, a gigantic all-out melee with several dragons battling the armies of the heaven.

For the things that i read in ishibumi-sensei twitter, it seems that his NEW WORK is related with DxD Universe, more specifically is about Vali, Grigori and Slash-Dog, it seems that the story follow how Vali and Slash-Dog when they were kids and how they grow up in Grigori, before Issei and Rias meet each other .........but i do not know if this means that DxD is near of an END..........I hope NO, NEVER......but i do not know what will happen in the future.........Well, this are the comments in his twitter:

^Just because Ishibumi-Sensei this don't mean that Hs dxd is closer to the end.

Just look at Akame Ga kill! the story still a long way to go(from what I can see) and we already have a spin-off prequel with Akame ga Kiru:zero.

This new work about Vali and the other is the same a prequel that give us more information about the backstory of High School Dxd (at least this is what I think).

Still will be interesting to read more about them.

If I understood it correctly, SLASH/DOG will be a free web novel that is a part of Fujimi Shobo's new project.

Maybe the spin off of vali will help to clarify/give us a better look to how the relationship with his father and grandpa started to crumble, or to fill some holes in the background history; and kinda an introduction to the new project of Slash/Dog

Ishibumi said as soon as the Hindu gods start making appearances, only recently have they been getting mentioned in the story, the story is coming to it's 3rd and final act since those are the strongest beings in the story apart from Great Red and pre-nerf Ophis. Also Issei is starting his 3rd year soon so we got at least another 5-8 more volumes before we have to worry about the end.

I do. I'd love to see College DxD or Millicas DxD. Issei's lack of evolution(maturity/intelligence wise) is starting to get to me.

That's a little bit ironic, considering the peak of Ise's denseness was between volumes 5 - 10 and by now he's not really dense anymore and quite intelligent as well.

there's no confirmation if he'd even do them if he finishes with Highschool DxD so don't shout for the end that loudly you're most likely gonna be sorely dissapointed.

Issei has matured ALLOT since the start and he's gonna keep growing and honestly im quite happy with how he's growing so i don't know what you actually want here...
he's more mature and intelligent then most harem mc's so im really baffled about what you said.

For the past Volumes, Issei doesn't have nosebleeds anymore in situations he definitely would have if it happened earlier in the series. (Don't know if that counts as maturity )
