Yeah, and the Pope is Catholic. In the case of Urutori and Kamyu, I think the justification can be that the breasts counterbalance the wings.

I agree. Here we are introduced to this monstrous woman who turns into an awesome babysitter like the flip of a switch.

But you have to remember Hakuoro has some serious balls (recall episode 6). He is one unafraid to take calculated risks. "Let's see, she massacred a bunch of people with her bare hands but Eruruu like her and she seems kinda nice. Yeah, sign 'er up."

I found ep. 10 rather boring for a character-intro episode, (esp. compared to episode 8) but at least it wasn't terrible. Unlike how Fate/Stay Night has been for my expectations (BTW, 2nd time poster, long time lurker).

Didn't someone post earlier about how it was remarkable that she had no scars and thus leading the characters to the conclusion that she must have been a very good fighter?

Karura is one hell of a girl. I didn`t exept her to be that strong
Even Benawi seems to be weaker than her, an she can drink a lot
Anyway, i like Kamyu more than her This episode as total was not that good... 7/10

So far, we see her only kill/treat men in a way of contempt, or at the very least, rough in a way. Her reaction towards women are, how should we say, more caring?

In general, we have a warrior who is a woman, nonetheless, so she possesses her maternal instinct. All around, a perfect woman in some sense. Now, I wonder if she can cook?

I think that was another brilliant move by Hakuoro to have her duel with Benawi in front of the whole palace army. There were rumors starting already, and if she put up a good fight with Benawi, who the army sees as the best fighter around, they would instantly respect her. Furthermore, rumors of her awesome prowess would increase morale in the army, as she will be fighting alongside them.

Is it just me, or does it seem like all the neighboring countries are led by bad guys? Hakuoro has made any alliances with anyone. The winged beings must not be doing a very good job, if they are supposed to maintain balance/peace?

Oh well, it just means that there will be more bad guys for Hakuoro to build his empire with.

I think Benawi did a good job, considering how grossly she outclassed him in terms of strength.

There's more to winning then just strength. If Hakuoro had to rely on his strenght to win battles, there wouldn't be much of a series left. (Though I have predicted from the very first episode that sooner or later Hakuoro would go apes***. Do you seriously think a man with an irremovable mask and a mysterious past could be merely the Ice Cream man?)

Do you think she might have some type of advanced healing? i find it weird that she has no battle scars at all plus how was it that she able to be captured

Read the game spoilers for Episode 10, in the part about the new characters not yet covered by the series. Aside the angel sisters, they were the only characters from another country acting somewhat friendly with Hakuoro.

If that's the case, the help of Eruruu in healing her was not necessary.

No, probably Karura was a warrior so powerful she was never beaten or defeated. Quoting Mortal Kombat... FLAWLESS VICTORY.

Aparently, they just captured her using betrail and drugs to keep her chained and sedated. Probably she was too dangerous to be treated as a common slave, yet too valuable to be simply killed.

It seems likely that the story will get back to that part of Karla's past, considering all the knowing looks between her and Urutorii in this episode. There's clearly a hinted-at past relationship between the two that will be explained sooner or later and will probably cover how Karla was imprisoned.

Karura simplys owns this episode and there's no argument for that, at least from my part.

Her supernatural strength is freaking awestruck, reminds me to that of Nuriko from FY.

Comes and goes as she pleases and is only entertained in a big fight where there's no holding back.

Lot of funny that made all those insinuations to Eruruu when asked Karura to take her clothes off for inspecting any wounds and thought Eruruu was hitting on her.

I believe that Karura suffers a sort of "barbaric mode" that puts her on a trance and only desires to reap bloodlust and death on her foes.

I hope Hakuoro doesn't go evil like all the masked guys of Gundam

I feel bad for Eruruu... it seems she isn't getting much attention from her An-chan lately.

Communicating with neighboring countries through the winged beings, so was said. That should things get really bad between neighboring countries, that the winded ones will probably pull an few strings to get aid and political effort to the affected areas.

Ok, I've caught up by watching the 10 eps yesterday.
Random thoughts :
1/ Eruru and Aruru make me STRONGLY think of Nakoruru and Rimoruru from Samurai Showdown. If Eruru rides the big cat it'll be complete.
2/ Oboro made a strong appearance but now he's stuck to comic relief. I feel sorry for his character. I like his twins though.
3/ Why don't they hire Mukuru alone on the army. She doesn't need a rider right?
4/ I'm not fond of Hakuoro's cold attitude toward Eruru, they need more screentime together.
5/ I don't understand the point of Yuzuha

u know that the twins are male ?
Also it may not be a good idea to let mukuru enjoy killing/eating human she may go berserk as her mom

Yeah I browsed through the topics this morning and learned about their manhood (which surprised me). I still like them, besides, maybe the conversion to anime will make them girls. ahah j/k.

Well, if Mukuru remains in the group and just isn't rided for the time of the attack I don't think that she'll lose it that much. She'll go back to Aruru after the fights... and Hakuoro wouldn't be far anyway.

EDIT: oh and.. aren't the tails of Eruru and co. a little too high? Like it almost starts at the middle of the back instead of being a continuation of the spine.

I will still maintain that they are girls in the Anime until otherwise stated by the Anime.

I don't think Mukuru particularly wants to be involved with the war, well, at least not offensively. She is there to protect; protect her mom (Aruruu) and protect Hakuoro. Besides, Aruruu will want to go whenever Mukuru goes out to battle, and that will be very dangerous for Aruruu.

Me neither. Well, maybe to show Oboro's loli complex. I guess she is supposed to be competition for Eruruu, but really has not shown much progress in that area.

The tails look like they would be where our tailbones would be. Did you see Karura's back in the prison cell?
