There are four things which the first episode at least spoils:

1. When we see Sakura in UBW it seem like she has nothing to to do with the magi world and that she has a happy life(, excluding Shinji's treatment of her). In Fate/Zero it is immediately shown that it was all a facade and she has a horrible life while being trained as the heir of the Matou family. It is also assumed in UBW that Shinji is the heir.
(Edit: Like Shyni also said: Worm pit training/Crest worms.)

2. It is confirmed that Sakura and Rin are sisters. This is something which is only hinted at in UBW.

3. It is revealed that Ilya is Kiritsugu's daughter. Ufotable did spoil this a bit in their UBW adaption, but not very blatantly.

4. Kiritsugu has been build up in Fate and UWB as a person to be admired and model for Shirou to emulate. In Fate/Zero it is shown that Kiritsugu isn't the person who the Fate and UBW route made him out to be. An important part of Heaven's Feel is breaking this image down and confronting Shirou with it.

This episode is absolutely wonderful; that we get to see Shirou's and Rin's life in England was something the VN didn't have and only hinted at.

This episode was basically pure fanservice. I wouldn't change a second of it. Yes, even Luvia.

What does it mean that Emiya was invited to the Mage's Association? Is he that powerful or is it just surviving the Holy Grail War enough to get him in?

The Magic Association simply determined Emiya was good enough based on their observations on him, not really having anything to do with power rather just magical ability.

Shirou do seem to have a strong potential. But funny how Waver see him as a misfit as his reason to come to Clock Tower is misplaced. He came on behalf of the conditional offer letter Rin received. Since he turned it down, so as her under the said condition.

Anyway, though this seem to be a fanservice, I'm happy of how the epilogue is done. I'm fine without the kiss, as long as the intimacy is clear.

Well, Kiritsugu was an assassin who worked outside the Association, and his father wiped out an entire island full of people due to his carelessness with magecraft. Shirou wasn't exactly adopted into a family with a sterling legacy.

Let's say Shirou is an alien to them. It's more to do with his reason to enroll in the Clock Tower wasn't what most magus initiates were enrolled for i.e. heir representatives, beside being Rin's disciple.
