Teen Titans is a great show, it doesn't take itself to seriously like Justice League, which is what i like about it. I also like the animation, its simplistic but gets the point across. The op song is pretty good too, they use both the english and sometimes the japanese language version for a little veriety.

Great Animation... tecnicaly, american animation are better then japanese animation. Im talking about the act, process, motion, mouvement of the characters only. since america are the first to create animation i understand why US are only focus on the animation more then the character design or story. Cause i find that Us cartoons are weak on story and they usualy over use the same old <superhero fighting vilans who want to take over the world>.
As for the japanese animation, well the character design is more attractive, sexy that makes me wanna hug it. Anime are masters on telling original stories.. legends..ect but they are weak in animation. When character talk, they stay in statue mode. and when fighting.. only use 1 or 2 poses instead of animation. People drive "riced out" cars, have kanji characters tatooed on themselves (and stickers on their american made cars, for the love of God), dress in anime style or have shirts with anime stuff, talk about anime constantly, take Japanese language classes, and, well I guess that's about it. But Japanese culture is all the rave in high school and even college kids so you shouldn't be surprised that studio execs are capitalizing upon that by stealing everything they can from Japanese culture. Back on topic, Has for all animation becoming more like anime..that is kinda sad to see, cartoons nowadays arent like the ones i grew up watching (a few good ones now) , but yeah it would be great to see something fresh and original. Yes im Animator |

As for American television cartoons becoming like anime... it's because of low budgets and limited animation. It's all done as quick and cheaply as possible and all the in-betweens are sent to Korea these days anyhow. Kids have no idea what they're missing so they don't demand much. And the younger the kids/audience, the less it has to be to entertain them. All they need is flashing colors and something moving a bit, and it will keep their attention. As I'm sure you're aware, having a child... although 7 is getting out of that stage, since I have a 7 yr old cousin who is getting beyond that stage now. My suggestion for you... get your kid a Gamecube. My cousin has one and he has a good time with it. It's got lots of kids oriented games that aren't too tough. And it'll keep them occupied and not drive you nuts with anime.
You guys remember what happened after WWII? The US went out and flooded Japan with its american way of life. And guess what? The japanese embraced it! TV (Bugs Bunny, Betty Boop, Popeye, Disney, Felix the Cat, and others), clothing, the american way of living, the manner in which the US conducted business, etc. And not only Japan but other parts of the world (Latin America, Europe, Most of Africa, East Asia)! All to say: Japan has good anime as well as crap anime, just like the US has great toons and crap toons. Spoiler:

Well I happen to like this show a lot, as well as my husband and my father. It's a new and different kind of perspective on the whole teen hero thing. It's innovative and unique, IMO. Although, I haven't been able to watch it for a while, cause I had to ditch my cable tv, but I'll get them on DVD one day. |

The first season was alright. It went downhill when Beast Boy became a hypocritical jack-ass and when they used to make "animu elements". After that, it oozed weeaboo. |
