Just in this instance and with this character (minus his sword). This was also why so many wanted to see Gai fight the chakra absorbing Pain body...

the spoiler is fake right? That would probably be the most anticlimactic and short fight in the history of naruto. Some of the canon fodder might have had longer fights.....

I remember in part 1 during the Orchimaru vs Third fight, one of the ANBU made a comment about how the fight is lasting so long, and that this isn't like a real ninja fight. Oh the irony.

meaning all the fights that we've seen so far are far from the real ninja fights =D Something that I agree though, this appears more to be fights between warriors with special abilities.

Lol, taijutsu will end up outclassing even the rinnengan. Only a bijuu managed to beat it so far and only because not enough gates were open.

Plus only a sharingan can beat another sharingan. Whereas rinnengan is beaten by nature chakra.

Omg yes, at least one more chapter of Kisame ! And his shark attack just shows how well he could without the sword, where was the sword btw, wasn't with Bee...Idc, I'm really hoping Kishi pulls an awesome bs and gets Kisame out of this situation...

I don't think it's Kishi. I think the Kanji probably covered that part and the english text just didn't cover it. Instead of drawing an arm, the cleaning/translating group probably just filled it with movement lines.

Kisame isn't dead, it seems, and he somehow managed getting out of that hold. One thing's for sure though... Losing the Akatsuki cloak + his sword + having a flashback guarantees death.

Why does Kishi had to make Tobi took his corpse ( instead of just take his eye and leave his body, regardless of some prerequisite for plot set up ), why do Tobi's hand severed when Danzou's seal released, and now it is getting back again.. There are many misteries still waiting to be solved...
Can't say, but I just have a strong feeling about this....

I think he didn't die, but is totally dyING, so next chapter will have his carcass on the floor. That was actually a good flashback, at least now Kisame can be tagged as a leet assassin, and one of the people who knew Madara's face (although we never got to find out anything about that...)
