I envy you guys. You can now finally upload an avatar. Anyway, I myself have been observing this problem lately. Seems like the sever is crowded(more than 500 members per day). That's why others wu use slower connections like me cant upload any avatar. Correct me if my observation is wrong.

From what I noticed, you can't upload from a url (you get some kind of url error or something), but you can upload from your computer.

You get the error from using either/or method...it's not limited just to the url or just to the upload from your comp...try uploading at different times of the day when it might be a bit less busy, chances are you'll get lucky soon enough

Hmm... I tried uploading using a URL. Well, I dont get error messages. After that. There is still no avatar specified! Damn.

Tried again, must just be me but URL never works, but the file from the comp works everytime. Oh well, sure it'll be fixed eventually

I am pretty sure that the main problem is the overcrowding in the servers. And that kind of problem wont be fixed. Unless those swarms of guest will be decreased by half.

Nah, I dont get any errors at all. When I try to upload, The uploading completes w/out any errors. but still... no avatar.

No succes, tried direct upload, tryed direct link, I re-logged in I tried doing it 20 times in a row.

That's the same error I was getting before, but after last night's downtime, it hasn't been a problem. I just tried loading 3 different 40k+ avatars straight from my computer, and then switched back to my current one, and it all went without a hitch. And no more 'busy errors' either. Thanks Mb81, and anyone else who was working on the problems.

Hehehe ... I was hoping this thread would roll up.

Like NSW mentioned I was having problems uploading from pc and url. I've used both functions and they worked fine until last week.

I'm pretty sure whatever the problem is, extends to both methods (url/from pc.) I spent a good 10 minutes trying both. An hour later I gathered the courage to bother NSW about it.

There is hope folks ... you may still use this little beauty

Now the URL one doesn't work.

I get that error thingy. I copied the URL perfectly and it doesn't seem to work.

My avatar is filled with so much irony right now.
