I know. That's why I said his power is the most Hero-esque. People in danger = sudden increase in capability is really trypical of heroes isn't it? While 'hero' in most of these kind of stories imply someone with power beyong common sense, a lot of 'hero' in real life are just otherwise average person who happens to do something extraordinary to help another person.

Refusing to be called a hero is also typical of those RL heroes. They tend to say what to they did is nothing special or something. A bit of Socratic contradiction really, his denial of being a hero only make him more heroic.

Yeah, that's understandable. Having to have a comrade dies to win ain't gonna to make someone feel like a hero. And yet, that is how heroes in stories often gain their power up.

new chapter up and hmmmm it seems from the perspective of some of the other heroes he is seen to be strong

and they do understand his power and ability but feel ghe is amazing exactly because of that

The same with the case of slaying orcs, Renji accepted the job with meager reward because he know that village cannot afford to pay the supposed reward. Still irritated at him now~? pupupu~
