As everyone reels in shock, Tristan tells Percy that he and Lancelot were equal in strength six years ago.... but then Lance suddenly disappeared for three years. When he came back, he would never talk about what happened during his absence, but his current strength may very well be equal to that of the Seven Deadly Sins! Back to the fight, Arthur says that Lancelot is indeed talented and strong.... but he's still a far cry from Meliodas' level.

Suddenly, Arthur lands a surprise attack on Lance! As he gets knocked into the air, Mel steps back into the fray! As he does, we see what became of Arthur's right arm.... basically, he pulled an Akira, as tumor-like growths have replaced it.... in the form of Chaos monsters! Lancelot comes back and is ready to strike back at his foe, but suddenly, the battle is interrupted by the appearance of a gigantic flying ship! It's boarded by Arthur's army of Chaos Knights, Ironside being among them. Speaking of Percy's father, he reports to his king that they detect hostile intent directed at them from three locations: Dalflare, Benwick, and the Fairy King's forest..... the respective locations of Gowther, Ban, and King and Diane of the Seven Deadly Sins, respectively.

At this point, Arthur decides to make his exit.... but Lance isn't very willing to let him go, as he impales the Chaos lord with his arm! However, Arthur seems to be unhurt as he begins to vanish. He says he collected some valuable info here, and departs with a warning for the Four Knights of the Apocalypse: In due time, they and every last one of their comrades shall face total extermination.....!!!!

Well, if Arthur confirmed that Lance was still weaker than Mel, then maybe the latter was himself holding back because he was trying to protect Tristan and the town....?

It's extremely important to mention Lancelot himself was holding back. He was just about to get serious when Ironside interrupted, with an aura flaring up around him. There's no doubt in my mind he's surpassed Meliodas. Maybe not Ban, though.

It's a bit odd to have one of the members so ahead of the others. Tristan needs to learn to control his demon side, Gawain needs to master Sunshine, and Percival is still a noob. Lancelot? It doesn't look like anyone needs to teach him anything.

Lancelot seems to be a match for Arthur, but what makes the latter tricky if not impossible to kill is Chaos. I guess that's where the "Apocalypse powers" will come in.

^Fan TL is out. I'm still doubting that the current Lance is stronger than Mel (as I said in the spoiler, Mel could have been holding back too), but we'll have to wait and see. It's also pretty clear that Arthur hasn't gone all out yet, either.... he clearly implied that he tested the 4KotA's abilities for the sake of relieving his boredom. I think he could have destroyed them all (Lance included) pretty easily if he felt like it, but chose to take things slow, instead. I guess it's a similar reason as to why he had Ironside try to wipe out Liones with the coffin instead of nuking it to oblivion himself. He seems to be treating the current situation as more of a game than anything, is the impression I'm getting here....

The battle is over for now, and Percy's gang are resting in the castle. They discuss the day's events, with Percy saying he can understand how the people on the fence about Camelot feel.... as he saw his grandpa's spirit. He also laments that he wasn't of much help during the battle, though Nasciens reassures him that his power prevented more casualties from occurring. When Percy brings up Mel during the chat, Anne freaks out, asking if they've really met, heh.

Meanwhile, outside, Lancelot is with the mage Thetis, who lists the casualties: Two holy knights, three giants, seven fairies, and one prisoner. She also notes how Arthur used his Chaos powers to plant fake memories into Melagaland. When Lance asks if she's paying respects to the demons who caused all the carnage, she simply says she felt empathy for them due to them being controlled. She also points out that Lance should have had no problems protecting the prisoner, yet he failed.... since that prisoner could have served as a foothold into Camelot. As Thetis leaves, Lance thinks of his encounters with Jericho.... and Guinevere.

Elsewhere in the castle, Tristan is busy training, clearly bothered by his earlier defeat. As for Gawain, she too, is bothered by the day's events, and calls out to her grandparents. The chapter ends with Lancelot checking in on Percy's group, and catches them all peacefully sleeping together (well, maybe not so much Donnie, heh), so he decides to put off speaking with them until tomorrow.....

This chapter focuses on Percy's friends! We start with Anne, who runs into Isolde. The two seem to get along well, though Isolde once again complains about getting "violated" by Percy upon their first encounter. However, Anne sets the record straight on what it really means for a girl to lose her virginity, which gets Isolde quite flustered, heh. The maiden then brings up how both of them are holy knights of the respective Tristan and Percival platoons, though Anne seems a bit troubled since she's not quite a holy knight just yet....

Next, we focus on Nasciens, who's hanging out with Hendy at his pharmacy. they talk about the demon snake venom that Mel brought them a sample of, then about Nasciens' powers. Interestingly, Hendy says that it's rare for humans to have such resistance to ailments, as that's a more common trait of the fairies. However, Nasciens doesn't know how he awakened to his powers. Hendy then asks him if he wants to join his practice, but the young alchemist is more focused on helping Percy at the moment.

Finally, we cut to Donnie, who's fresh from a visit with his grandparents (he has a pretty strong resemblance to his grandpa, BTW). Shortly after leaving, he runs into Chion and Jade from the Tristan platoon! The former recalls Donnie's background as a knight trainee, and makes fun of him for quitting after just a month's training. He insults him some more, and asks him when he'll take that shorty Percival and disappear from the kingdom. Donnie doesn't take kindly to the trash talk, grabs Chion with his telekinesis, and tells him to his face that he won't forgive anyone who badmouths Percy. The two look ready to duke it out.... when they get interrupted by Gilthunder (now a cardinal), who says that Mel has summoned Percy's group for a meeting! As Donnie runs off, we find out something interesting: Chion is GILTHUNDER'S SON!!! The chapter ends with Percy's gang making their way to the throne room.....

I guess that explains Chion's obsession with Tristan, but how could Gilthunder and Margaret's son be such a prick and look nothing like them on top of it? Is he adopted or something?

While the Chion part is indeed surprising, there is no official colored material of Chion yet. Suzuki is wild with his coloring most of the time, so it wouldn't surprise me if Chion has pink/purple hair. Early draft Percival had purple hair and most of us thought that our protagonist could be Gilthunder's and Margaret's son.

I like the group, but I would dislike if the matter of staying together or not was brought up just for the usual "We are friends, of course we will never separate" trope. Completely unnecessary.

As Percy and co. enter the throne room, the one who first greets them is Queen Elizabeth! Next to greet them is Meliodas.... who still hasn't grown out of his old pervy ways. At first, Anne thinks he's some disrespectful stranger, but when everyone else, Elizabeth included, tell her that he's indeed the real Mel.... her image of him becomes shattered.

However, it's not long before more serious matters are discussed: Mel asks Percy's friends if they've said their farewells yet. Percy himself is confused, wondering why his friends look so sad. They tell him that as a knight of prophecy, he can't take him with them to war with Camelot since they aren't knights themselves. So as sad as they are, they have no choice but to part ways.... until Mel calls all three of them forward. As it turns out, he summoned Percy's friends so they would be knighted! The king then clears up what he meant by farewell: As in, farewell to their ordinary, everyday lives... until the war with Camelot reaches its end. So it's now official: The Percy Platoon are all holy knights!!!

The first slight mention of Anne reacting to true Meliodas goes further back to 1 year and 3 months approximately. Time flies.

Anyways, Meliodas better start some explanation next chapter, which he promised to Percival about the prophecy and their situation.

While most of the gang are excited about becoming holy knights, one particular individual feels undeserving of the title: Anne. She sadly rejects the title, until Elizabeth steps forward and gives her a little pep talk as to why she indeed deserves to become a knight. Her speech is enough to convince Anne to stay on board as part of the Percival Platoon!

With that being dealt with, Mel soon holds a meeting with all Four Knights of the Apocalypse and their entourage (Gawain is still a shorty, BTW). He introduces them to Thetis (whom I believe he refers to as the top sorceress of the kingdom), and confirms the respective titles of the four knights of prophecy: Famine for Gawain, War for Lancelot, Plague for Tristan, and lastly, Death for Percival (so pretty much as we've suspected all along, yeah). Percy is still not too keen on the idea of being responsible for the world's destruction, but Mel corrects him: The world getting destroyed here is the one created by Arthur: Camelot! Now, I'm not too sure on this part (gotta wait for TL to clarify), but it seems that in order to build his own world, Arthur used the power of Chaos to steal pieces of land from the human, fairy, and demon realms. As proof, Thetis warps them to a huge wasteland that was left in the wake of the evil king's conquest. This alone served as enough reason for Liones to rise up against Camelot....!!!!

I don't know if it's because she's on Isolde's lap but Gawain looks super smol. She looks adorable, but she'll burn your hair if you mess with her.

Meliodas says that "death" is how the enemy sees Percival but to them he's their hope. Thing is, we know there is more to it than that... Meliodas doesn't have the full picture, which makes sense since Bartra's Vision is usually vague.

Yup, Gawain became really small. Percival is old news, she should be the new mascot.

Arthur is not looking great. I was hoping for some grey area, but he is clearly intended to be the straightforward villain, antagonist if he needs to steal land for his own world and kingdom from other races.

With that one guy treating Percival's platoon as the weakest, I really hope someone trains them up to become the strongest, if only just to shut that guy up.

And about Percy being the Knight of Death, isn't it because he has powers centered around life and death, along with "Hero" magic which most people seem to not know much (if anything) about? Has Meliodas not been told about that?

Nearly forgot to bring it up earlier, but I found it a bit sad that Anne initially had so little faith in herself as a knight.... especially considering how she stood up to an enemy as powerful as Ironside with no hesitation in her debut arc. I mean, I know she hasn't done a lot since then, but IMO she already proved herself more than capable before she even set foot in Liones. And heck, maybe a little training with Isolde (and perhaps even Gawain) should mold her into quite a force to be reckoned with. Or maybe she could learn some new magic from Thetis....?
