What annoys me is I'm watching first 5 minutes(exclude opening theme) and I go "this is going good" and then I'm waiting for quicker progression and I keep staring at the timer and it's nearing 20 minutes but no real significant progression. Episode then ends and I say to myself.. what happened in this episode?

I usually just browse and not post but I had to say something about this..

A whole entire ep that was built up to be full of 2 epic fights....

And nothing happened.

Nothing.

Soon as something started to go it'd switch back to the other "fight".. let me see what happened here, a bunch of jumping around dodging water.. and about 10 minutes of staring at Itachi. The dialogue was in the manga so it's understandable.. it just seemed so dragged out overall.

It was cool to see some new moves from Neji and Ten ten, a cool little kick to steal Kisame's sword, and an interesting genjutsu from Itachi, but that's about all I saw outta this..

I was looking forward to this episode so much too.. :sigh:

Well, it seems like *next* week will be the epicness.. finally get to see Naruto show off his new talent, and a 1 on 1 with GAI-SENSEI!!! Pyah, that's something I've been wanting to see ever since Gai was introduced in the series.

edit* maybe i'll re evaluate my opinion, I was just built up so much and looking forward to this episode and it let me down, if it wasn't such a build up I guess this isn't so bad of an ep.. it's alright in the narutoverse.

It's ryuushin

I didn't like this episode, was too slow paced for me. I preferred the fights which were fast paced, it seems to me after every time they attack they think the next situation out reminds me of Dragon Ball Z

Holy Glacier Pacing, Batman.

I think Kakashi's description of Itachi's Sharingan sums up my feelings about this episode best.

Unlike their success in extending the material in the previous episode (Sakura's medical treatment), their attempt in this episode was totally whacked.

Highlight was probably when Neji said to Ten-Ten, "Give it up, Ten-Ten."

Next episode is Naruto’s growth eh? I sure hope it’s gonna be a hell of a lot of growth, he obviously needs it.

*Kakashi talking 6 hours about how illusions work and how Itachi is using illusion techniques*
*Suddenly seeing stuff that aren’t supposed to be there*

SERIOUSLY HAVE YOU CAN BE THAT STUPID, GOD!

The episode was also terrible. I was shaking throughout the entire one, waiting for the cool action scenes to happen, waiting for the awesomeness to take place, but it didn’t happen. I can live with filler scenes in other episodes, but this moment I have been waiting for like a child before christmas eve, so it almost made me cry.

I gave it a 3 because my expectations for this episode was a 10, and the huge disappointment caused me to growl in agony.

Aaaaaaarg that episode was a tease.
I don't think it was totally bad, it just was like the first half was a staring contest and then all the action started getting good and it ended.

yeah i thought the episode overall was way to dragged out and very boring.and switching back and fourth watching the same animation of gaara getting his pink mojo sucked out for the last 3 episodes without absolutely any change just makes it even longer. they are prolly gonna drag this double fight seen on for prolly another 2-3 episodes from the looks of it. making sure to add the useless 5 minutes of the same rehashed animation of gaara being sucked dry. at least with bleach anime they get creative in their dragging out of the series, naruto series they just keep using the same clips over and over and over.i could keep rambling on but than it would become just like the naruto anime series.

sagittarius said it best i think the anime spoiled it a bit with itachi refering to kakashi and the eye sight loss. they gave alot more information in the dialogue there than they did in the manga.

*Sigh* What a let down...

To summarized the episode ...

Its a staring contest between Itachi and Team Kakashi and some intermission fight inbetween Kisame and Gai's team =_= .

There.. summary for 1 full episode of Naruto this week.

Other notes would be the animation style saw a huge dip ... Reusing Gai's "Oh shi- I think I remember you .. not" works like a charm once, but not for a freaking episode... Another little error they made is making Lee standing on water, while it was a hard fact that Lee can mold chakra at all.. -.-

Looking for the next episode, because this episode seriously didn't do enough IMO ...

I liked the episode

At least they took some time to show some of Itachi's and Kisame's abilities.

And if Naruto-chan is in there, no way it can be bad :3
And it had some cute chibi as well ^^

Lol ... Naruto is like "wtf!?" And Sakura is like "Hihihi!"

I thought this episode was really good.

I guess I didn't mind the pacing since I'm a mangareader and knew there'd be more talking before the fights began, plus, the 12 previous episodes didn't exactly hint at improving on the manga's pace.

There were a few filler scenes (some flashbacks and extended Gai wackyness), but it wasn't much to shout about. The one complaint I do have is that they cut between scenes too much. Though judging from the Gaara fight, maybe that's a better way to take up time than having the anime team write fighting filler.

Sorry about the lack of early summaries lately, I can't always be home in time for Naruto.

gai's encounter wiv kisame was supposed to be comical, it failed

the filler bits that were added in against kisame made neji look like a prat, they ruined his new technique as in the manga it was like wtf i just dint get that impression !

and for the love of god please tell me them daft twigs lee had were filler material, hu wud carry them around, seriously!

6/10 due to the itachi an kakashi convo

I haven’t seen the episode, but in that scene in the Manga Naruto didn’t do the Rasengan with one hand , the Manga only showed Naruto with the rasengan already formed.

same in the episode.. he just jumped out with a rasengan and placed it on Itachi.. .. or so he thought.

meh, didn't like nor dislike the episode.
New technique from Neji and some pretty decent teamwork in team Gai

I put in the middle.. 5ish.

hmmmmm yeh u dont actually see it emerging ,well he seems to develop it while charging, kinda of fun to see

found it quite funny when chiyo stated..... "there are nothing special" (uchiha's) but if you get in a 1 on 1 you run away...... clearly they must be doing something right
