If they only have ideas for a movie then by all means let them do a movie. It will still be a new exciting experience since, obviously, there has never been a Gridman movie before. Who knows, with bigger production budget, maybe Amemiya & co can bring us something bigger from the Gridman lore than what a limited TV show can do.

Honestly a crossover movie probably makes more sense than a crossover series. I guess the only concern is when this will come over to the West .

I'm curious why Gridman goes back to his SSSS design .

Probably...Although I don't recall seeing any official release dates for Dynazenon's blu rays. Can't see them dubbing and releasing these series only to skip out on making money off releasing the movie itself. But considering the time Funimation takes with this sort of thing...it might take until 2023 before we see this.

A movie makes sense. And in some ways might improve the odds we see familiar characters from both series showing up for this. A movie isn't going to have as much time to develop a new cast. Dragging members from both casts (beyond the obvious Gridman, Gridknight, Second, and...whatever is inhabiting Dyna Rex) would save time on establishing and developing new characters.

It's a total bias thing for me. Movies are shorter and while the animation can be better...I can't see it being that much better than what we got in the anime anyways. So it's just less material and we'll probably not get to see it next year. But it should still be entertaining.

That depends on how the Gridman movie is released...weren't there that series of Digimon Adventure movies that also got subbed streaming releases around the same time as in theatres? (Am not too sure about this so please feel free to correct.)

It was probably at the same time as the BDs released. I don't recall a movie being released on theaters and online at the same time (legally I mean).

Confirmation of the returning cast from both Gridman and Dynazenon as well as a new visual of Yuta Hibiki.

At this point, Yuta should be the similar to Shin Hayata when Ultraman left his body. Yuta will only have vague recollection of what happened in the entire season of S4.Gridman (if at all). Let's see how Yuta handled it.

I think this movie will definitely be important as far as showing who Yuta Hibiki is without Gridman.

If Akane returns or if an Akane makes an appearance then I highly doubt they would announce it beforehand, better to keep it under wraps and surprise the audience.

Overseas cinematic (like SAO movies)? Later-date general Bluray release with online streaming options (like Digimon Tri)? Or having to rely on fansubs (like Strike the Blood OVAs)?

Agreed, I'm not surprised the main focus will be the Gridman cast but I'm glad the Dynazenon cast will make an appearance.
