You can try Martial Peak, it's not like it's masterpiece, but it downplay lot of wuxia tropes. Enemies aren't like lemmings that have whole their families suicide by MC because he gave someone wrong look. MC usually try talk things first and don't flaunt his power too much and especially early he often have to depend of secret technique of Joestar familly. Even later there are some battles that aren't curbstomp.

Anyway I Might Be A Fake Cultivator looks pretty promising. Manhua has only two chapters out (translated), but novel is lot of fun. It's contemporary settings, but it's actually quite similiar to CChG in sense cultivations is sort of timeless thing and in this work most things happen in another realm where you don't see lot of earthly culture anyway. Protagonist get through lot of obstacless abusing his complete lack of shame, causing lot of people headache in process. Heroines are passable too.

My Three Thousand Years To The Sky Main protagonist was considered genius, but he was unable break through Foundation Building stage and now 3000 years later he survives on age prolonging pills and his qui gathering reached 6700 lv. He can blow up mountain with single punch, but cannot even use flying sword.

There isn't lot of senseless killing and MC is pretty generous with opponents as long as they don't trigger him too much
