It's difficult enough that he fools an expert vampire hunter.
Due to his perk selection, he's immune to sunlight and light spells in general, so even you throw holy water on him all it does is make him wet and cold.
He's technically a new subspecies of vampire and human, or mutant if you will.

The only reason the vampire hunter was onto him to begin with is because vampires have a skill called Pheromone's Touch which is where he basically releases pheromones, or a scent, around him and can retrieve information from his surroundings that way. The vampire hunter has a skill that can detect that (otherwise generally only other vampires can) but he just has the vampire hunter toss all her holy water and light shit at him and poises through it.
He convinces her itself a similar spell and her skill just detected it by misfire.

Hell, because of his race, all he needs is like a tablespoon of blood once every 7 days and he's good. Can be any blood: human, demon, animal, etc. Such a threat to humanity, this one. Well, he also eats food.
And due to being a half-vampire, his metabolism makes it where he literally can't shit, he can't be poisoned or diseased, he doesn't age, he has super regen, enhanced body (unlimited stamina yay) and magical abilities, immunity to darkness (and light due to perk), can hypnotize people via gaze (although he literally hasn't done this even once), and can see in the dark.
It's basically all up-sides, granted he hasn't told anyone aside from his mentor and his family that he's a kind of vampire. Granted another one of the heroines apparently has demon blood in her too so I doubt she'll mind.

He can also apparently make a maximum 3 people his minions and the same race as him, I think? This hasn't really been brought up all that much so I tend to forget about it. He has to give them his blood to do this if I recall.
I wonder how that's scientifically limited to 3, or unless it's a magical limitation? Granted he still hasn't done this; he's being careful with his selection for it.
Otherwise all sucking someone's blood does without killing them puts them in a semi-hypnotized state, although he's only done this once and it was to test this.
The only human's blood he's sucked has been a dirty old bandit's, hilariously enough.

Yep, but as Sasuke said, currently limited to 3 Direct Vampires (dunno if he can make more inferior vampires or ghouls). Those 3 are specials and supposed to have their own skills, limited in number coz probably it involves sharing/bestowing soul like the contract with Rorodeen the cat.

MC didn't even consider being an elf (there was high elf on the list, by the way).
He looked at human, goblin, vampire, then half-vampire and said fuck it I'm done, this will do.

Nah, he guilt-tripped her into thinking she attacked a normal person by accident and completely ignored everything they said until they just so happened to be stronger than her and beat her up.
Incidentally, Roro was also stronger than her.
He hasn't met her since, granted it hasn't even been a full day since that in story so far.
And no he didn't do it to get lewd with her; he just asked for some information about vampire hunters and let her off. Like I've said, the MC isn't a sex-at-any-cost kind of guy. He'll take it where he can get it, though.

Oh right. Other fun things to mention.
Elves typically have tattoos on their faces to represent their tribes. Like a hornet, for example.
Elves and dwarves also seem to get along worse than cats and dogs do.

This is one of the few novels that doesn't hype up the MC for having black hair and black eyes, but actually refers to him having Asian features which realistically stand out way more than stupid black hair.
I always consider describing black hair and black eyes to be super unique traits without mention of oriental features to be a minus point for stories.

Also, if you played Dragon Age, there is an autistic Enchant Dwarf that can only say Enchant. Not very subtle reference this one.

Like it so far.
Could have done really well without the game mechanics however.
They could have at least done skills as something like blessings you get from Gods or something.


And I have a feeling we'll be meeting that vampire Hunter girl sometime in the future again.

And the game mechanics is actually in an iffy state.
Apparently the MC is the only one who can see his own stats and stuff, but other people also know what job classes and skills are.
It's weird. For other people, it could very well just be something like a blessing.

Vampires are known for being hard to distinguish from humans in most series, so as long as you are not going around yelling "I am a vampire!" you might manage to hide it. On the other hand if you are an elf you can't hide it. Also, have none of you seen series where the elves are slavees of humans, or half elves are most hated race in the world? I have. Also if you can choose between large sum of money (longevity) and infinite sum of money (immortality, eternal yuth), which do you choose?

He's done a total of 4 women but how many are heroines is questionable.
2 have a heroine feel about them anyway.
There's also been several other girls introduced but like I said, the author is pretty good with false flags and he actually puts effort into describing characters that aren't important (it's a miracle, I know).
The MC has a doctrine of not killing pretty women, which I mean he's strong enough to get away with it so whatever.

But one of the heroines has Stalker Eyes, which show a red line to her target wherever they are and she has the MC marked.
The only reason they parted to begin with is because she can't leave her assassin organization and needs to help her father recover from the deadly Japanese Cold.
So she'll be back eventually.
