Well, this one was a lot more lighthearted and slapstick, mixed in with some serious moments. I'm liking Bellri and Aida more and more, and even Monday got to say more words.
However, Klim Nick stole the show this episode, and I love his maverick style. I thought Bellri going over to the pirates side would be more defining and not so...accidental. This episode wasn't as strong as the last one, but we got a ways to go in this series so, lets see where it takes us. However, the toilet humor (pun intended ) was kind of weird....

Normally I'd drop a series by the three episode mark if it's normally this bad, but I'm going to make an exception this time around.

I'm really hoping for an explanation on when/how the Universal Century calender ended and the RG calender began, what became of the Earth Federation, and such.
We still see some obvious UC tech like Minovsky Particles, beam weapons (even with beam vulcans being common now, as well as the whip, which seems like a vast improvement on the beam string technology from Victory Gundam) and yet we're NOT seeing tech like the beam shield being widely used despite it being standard equipment in the UC 120s and beyond, but rather normal solid shields. And considering Mobile Suits are actually capable of much more stable and agile flight (without needing big thrusters and big propellant tanks), it makes me wonder what sort of tech is allowing that or if it's simply just normal MS improvements over the thousand years. Otherwise, you'd think the Minovsky Flight and/or Minovsky Drive Systems would've eventually become commonplace.

Ok.. I wanted to give this series a chance...
Can someone explaine to me why a Military Cadet runs away like a deserter with an enemy pilot, a mental patient and his pseudo girlfiend in an army asset/confiscated asset, without any explanation? Ok i would understand if: - they killed his mother and it was a revenge plot. - he was thretened by them in some way. - he was unconscious. But from what one can see Bellri should change his name to Beavis.

Anyways, can't wait for the next episode to see what's happening at Ameria's side. |

Only half kidding, but I think judging from what we've seen of a bellri so far, he's a deeper character than he appears. He might have some misgivings about the new Capital Army that he hasn't shown so far, and obviously the Capital Army isn't exactly a nice bunch either. Quote:
Obviously its a bit of a conspiracy here. Quote:
Similar to Gundam AGE, most mobile suit tech is based off of old tech records (called Blueprints of Hermes' Roses) from the previous century but obviously not all of the tech from UC have been adapted for use so far. Usage of MS in RC is a recent development.

He even made it unlikely to stop supplying Solar batteries to Ameria so the war wouldn't even be too one-sided. |

Not to mention there might be a bit of power struggle happening here with Kunpa and the newly formed Capital Army vs Bellris mom who I believe is in charge of the tower defense / Capital Guards. Having Bellri on the enemy side might be beneficial to them

Hey, me too (well....sort of ). But usually, in any Tomino show, if you can see beyond all the random, the weird, and the eccentric, you’ll find a certain logic (or should I say, Tomino-logic) as well as deeper theme and message in it. IMO watching Tomino show is kinda like watching One Piece. Those who can’t (or won’t) accept the weirdness in One Piece will certainly be put off by it and then dropped it after few episodes. But those who are willing to see through and enjoy all the weirdness and lack of logic will find themselves a solid story worth following .

In some ways I wonder why this couldn't have happened last episode. Fairly similar circumstances. Enemy attacking, people casually letting a prisoner walk around and just climb into a mobile suit. Only real difference seems to be Aida winning the game of musical chairs .
