Usually (though not always), being greenlit means they just got the go-ahead, whereas announcing a new season means it's been worked on for a while and they're just ready to announce it.

If I had to guess, I'd say January 2015 is most likely.

i also think january is most like but can hope for sooner either way the highscool dxd franchise is doing great 3 anime season been awhile since ive seen a long running anime season since the big guns other then magi also have 18 LN so great.
the thing im most looking forward to is ise learning balance breaker and seeing all the more dragons introduce especially big man tanin

I was also thinking July 2015 might be possible, but I figured since we hadn't heard anything about any OVAs between now and... any time in the near future, it'd likely shorten the time a bit.

More than likely January 2015. Remember, Season One came out Winter 2012, Season Two in Summer 2013, would only make sense to do the same with this third season and have the six season buffer-zone.

I think late 2014 or early 2015 will be airing date. Altough we might get a ova for this summer. I also wonder new hyoudou resisdent since nobody mention that. Anyway its gonna be funny as hell i belive.

Season 4Volume7-9( 8 will be just a simple episode rest of it i believe will be OVAs)

They probally would end it with his death and basically people need to read if they havent to find out what happened or be in pain waiting. I was shocked when I read that. I recently read the 16 volumes plus the part of 17 translated. When that happened at the end of the novel I was like nooooo. It was nice being able to start the next one right away. It would have sucked waiting for the next novel to come out THEN wait on translating. The worse part was we still had to wait awhile in the next novel to see what was up. At least he came in brining the pawnage. I cant wait til we can see him use that type of power again. Im sure Ise will bring it out in epic fashion.

The death of Issei was a huge shock to me, you see every shounen protag has their plot armor, and considering Issei I think he would pull out "My love for oppai so great that it erases the hatred of Samael!", even when Ddraig told Issei to keep up, he would never die, he would always stand up, etc, Issei still died in the end of the paragraph. I did think he was unconscious or something but the dragon gate scene broke my belief.

My love for reading this is because after season the first 2 seasons and loving it I imagine this as I read. It makes me laugh that much more. Imagining him flipping out. The looks on his face or the girls or even Irina's wings flicker. That one really gets me going imagining her wings flicker and the first time her having a scared/shocked looked on her face. I look forward to the OVAs too those short stories are awsome and will/would make great OVAs

I prefer they don't, not immediately anyway. Just have her breasts slowly grow to the proper size of the course of a few seasons so people don't jump up screaming that her design was changed.

Those few seasons would be so far away though since it has not been seen yet are we are about to be at volume 18 in the novels and only up to 4 in anime.
