Having seen some of the sales figures it's hardly surprising, and it's very very welcome. As well as having a good mix of characters they really captured the pastoral aspects of country life quite well.

In celebration of the manga selling over one million copies, the staff is holding a character popularity poll. There will be an advance screening of the new season's first episode, and there will be a photo contest similar to the one held for the first season.

Advanced screening of season two's first ep in February, eh? I wonder if that means this year is indeed a possibility for it to air? Like in summer, perhaps....

Would not mind some more Renge to cheer up the summer season.

Having read the original manga up to the latest volume...

...they're well past the Okinawa trip in the original manga; there's quite a bit of material that the second season could cover. I anticipate that the Okinawa trip could last a few episodes, continuing on from where the OAD ended. What happens beyond that include the remaining days of summer and the start of another school year. I'm not going to disclose any more out of courtesy's sake.

With that said, I don't think there's a great possibility that there will be anime original material: the manga provides the adaptation with a good amount of material to work with.

There is much to look forwards to in the second season's release, and I look forwards to hearing more about things
