And how exactly have you come to the conclusion that Grendel has better defense than Nero? Nero blocking the attack means his defense is that strong, it doesnt downgrade Cross Crisis.

Also, appeal to incredulity is a poor argument. Yes, based on the actual showings of both attacks on the exact same target, I judge Cross Crisis to be superior.

In the first place the Sirzechs connection was not "Rias can hit as hard as Sirzechs", it was "Sirzechs can spam dozens of attacks at the level of this really powerful attack"

But the fact Issei was comparing Sirzech's attacks to Extinguished Star shows just how OP Extinguished Star is. Especially compared to Cross×Crisis. Nero isn't even Maou class and Cross×Crisis couldn't break his defense.

No, it shows how OP Sirzechs is for being able to spam them. The attack was always higher than Maou class. But Cross Crisis is factually more powerful than ES is. Again, we literally have a direct comparison between the two attacks.

Nero has been in a single fight, in which he demonstrated the ability to block an enhanced Croos Crisis. That is a feat for him, not "against" Xenovia. We judge him based on what he does, and what he does is block an attack stronger than ES. End of story.

It can still be smacked aside and blocked with enough physical strength or aura.

It's probably more efficient in terms of power spent per unit of damage, but it doesn't ignore defense entirely.

With Ise unlocking AxA already, how will Ishibumi write battles where the opponent is actually a threat to Ise.

Are we going to see only a glimpse of its power and not see it again for a while or it simply won't be THAT op and other strong characters(like Indra, Crom) can still challenge him.

Wasn't ExE the broken one that's both powers or AxA? Like your assuming his going to be Heavenly Dragon level and not just a baby Dragon King.

AxA is him releasing the power of both Ophis and Great Red. We still don't know what ExE is

a super devil form is entirely possible. Diehauser is a tactician. He wouldn't show such a form unless he absolutely thought it was necessary. Plus if it got out there would likely be many who would prefer to see him dead.

so far the only real counter in the world for issei is samael, others can only be beings from ExE.

pd: I could also add a version of the pokemon fairy type in dxd, which makes it imnune to all dragon energy

Just have an ice-type like Lavinia on hand. She's super-effective against Vali and I'm sure she'll be super-effective against Issei too.
