High School DxD Light Novel - Q&A

I would love to see a new antagonist who was the one who killed the previous Maou and God from the Bible. Having such a overpowered antagonist that is waaay superior than the MC and his allies brings more seriousness to the story. If I think about it, none of the good characters died yet. Well, Ise and Asia died during the story but they were resurrect.

I mean "die" permanently. Sometimes, or maybe most of the time, having a proper death for a major characters brings more impact and emotion to the story. Especially in a battling story. If you watch the death scene of Zack(FF7CC), Jiraiya(Naruto), Ulquiorra(Bleach), Ace(One Piece), White Beard(One Piece), Furuichi(Beelzbub...lol), Rider(Fate Zero), and Saber(FSN), its so emotional that it stays in you for a longtime.

Deathlists(named character in LN only); Viser(Stray Devil in Vol1), Raynare, Valper(the old guy), Katerea, Creuserey, Freed, Diodora, Shalba, and Siegfried.

Azazel is one of the candidate, he has quite a relationship with Ise (in a way, he's like Ise's fun uncle), his role isn't that important anymore since someone else can handle Ise or the girls training, and he's definitely not in the harem.

True. Though he did say he will be stepping back from the front-line, he is still actively negotiating with their factions since he did go to Romania with Rias and Kiba.

That's the thing, I love it when the main story completely gets turned upside down due to a major event. Vali dying or Sirzechs dying would make the story sooo much more interesting and we as readers would benefit.

The end of the story, i don't want to think about that, but i think that the clues are around of Sirzechs Lucifer comments in the light novel:

"The most important will be, What will happen after he get his harem?" I DONT REMEMBER IN WHAT VOL

He already has his harem, it was confirmed once he acknowledged that the girls are all in love with him in vol. 10. He even accepted Koneko's marriage proposal. What Lucifer said was along the lines of "The era of one strong leader is over, it's now about groups of powerful people working together." What I think will happen is Sirzechs will fall and that will mark the beginning of a new era with new rookies taking the reins from the old generations.

The author stated that the story is reaching it's climax and after this arc we'll maybe get 1 or 2 more before it ends, the author wants to end it because he originally wanted Issei to begin unlocking [Crimson Cardinal Full Drive] when he had sex with Rias and finally reach it during his fight with Sairorge but the editor basically said "No, that's too much" and made it so he unlocked it when he was fighting Sairorge instead. He probably wants it to end so he can focus on his other novel or maybe go ahead and begin College DxD. Personally I'm tired of the high school scene and would like a more mature, less echi and more serious, themed story.

Personally, I prefer to see that this series "advance" to the next level creating an evolution of the story, as you said "College DxD", but i dont want this series "end", i desire to continue seeing Issei and Rias as the principal characters in the story, how they grow in the DxD Universe, and how the story develops.

About the harem, i think that the Raynare curse is not 100% removed yet.

And about the "College DxD", i think that there is a clue in some words that Azazel said at the begining os the story:

Issei: “…So it’s a war?”
Azazel: “No, it’s still at the skirmish level. You could say both they and us are in a preparatory period. Don’t worry, something like war won’t occur until you people graduate from university, let alone this school’s high school division. About the deep and romantic kisses, The ones are Rias and Asia, they 2 are the one who issei has accepted as future wifes. Akeno is beginning to improve her importance to Issei but she yet dont has a deep and romantic kiss moment of love alone with issei.

Xenovia and Irina desire babies, and the author said that they will improve their love relationship with Issei.

In general issei is just in the midle(mid class demon) of the harem, he even sleep with the girls but dont touch anything and in the end he wake up in the floor.

About College DxD, i also desire this story improve and continue, i hope with all force that the author inspires with all his fans.

For that reason i prefer dont see the terrorist attacks as the real war.

In this moment this is a High School Harem.

About the war, I see the terrorist actions as coup attempts, for me the a war is even more bigger, for example when all the pacifist fractions and the evil fractions will be completly defined,then will be the war.

About the story, i also remember some words of Grayfia:
"Once you become a University student, we need to prepare for the wedding quickly you know? You need to take in a husband right away when you become the heir after graduating from University."

I don't think he needs to have sex with them for them to be in his harem, but then again different attitudes. Sex, to me, isn't a catalyst for anything more like recreational fun you do so we'll agree to disagree on that. All the factions are already represented.

Warfare now isn't like the old days with bulk army moving across the land smashing into other armies with battle formations, that is a really counter productive way to wage war. The last war like that was the American Civil War, look at WW2, Vietnam, Korea, Iraq 1&2 and Afghanistan. For all intents and purposes the author has been really good with portraying a modern warfare style consistent the lore in the story.

Again, Grayfia said that like 6-7 volumes ago. BEFORE all the girls had been vying for Isseis affection.

First, I think this discussion needs to be taken to the appropriate thread.

We have discussion, many times before and many have pointed out that the trauma that was inflicted on Ise by Raynare (Yuma-chan) is not done and over with. Ise is currently in the processes of overcoming his trauma. It's not so easy to overcome something caused by your first love and girlfriend. Someone pointed out that Ise is currently in the first steps to over his trauma.

I think i don't use the correct words to explain, my point is that the harem must be more serious, like Rias who is his legal wife in the underworld, Rias must decide the order of the other girls to make them ligal wifes, But Rias will have the control af all As no1. Like Venelana Gremory said.

For me this is the actual status of the harem and the Fractios:

Rias Gremory(Devil (Pure-Blooded) Princess)
Xenovia(Devil Former Human / Ex-Durandal User)

Angel faction:1
Devil Fraction: 5
Fallen Angel Fraction: 1

But we must consider that Asia and Xenovia are believers in God of the Bible, so:

But Irina said that she can fall for Issei if he said, so:

The fractions Youkai, Norse and Vampire are not yet inside the harem to future wife's (Improve the Peace) Because Koneko is loyal to Gremory(Devils), Rossweisse has not fall in love 100% yet, and Gasper is a Man.

For me, the actual harem is OK, for now the author said the he will begin to concentrate in the subheroines(Le Fay, Kuroka, Sona), and in the future Rossweisse, Kunou and maybe Vampire.

I don't understand your reasoning. All the factions are represented in Rias Gremorys peerage. It doesn't matter who or what will be in Isseis harem even though all the factions are clearly represented, Ross WILL be in the harem, she's gone on a date with Issei and will probably be expanded upon and included officially as a girl vying for Issei in vol 17.
