So I think it'll be more like Judau jacking the Zeta and then eventually joining up with the crew.

Though I could see an old person on the show, or maybe one of the antagonists, eventually referring to the G-Self as a Gundam in-series or maybe calling it a descendant of that "legendary Mobile Suit." That female space pirate is quite the looker . I'm liking the Mecha designs so far, even if I'm not crazy about the Gundam's design, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of them in animation .

Is he also responsible for the color-composition of the mechas? Because the unrefined color-composition of the G-Self reminds me a lot of the Knightmares in Code Geass with clashing-color wing/backpack that hurts my eyes, like these examples:
Thank god they improved in Code Geass R2 and made the colors of the mechas blend better than the previous series. Then again, this thing still appeared in R2 and managed to make the previous bad color-composition even worse:

Start with Bright Noa and work your way to the present.
Considering the franchise, not to mention the kid in this particular instance, that's not a very relevant/useful statement to make. Even this new series will likely have a kid be given some powerful weapon. |

Whereas Lacus just gives a billion dollar prototype machine with a technology that if fallen to enemy hands would cause thousands of nukes to be launched at PLANT to a random enemy kid that she had only previously interacted with for a few hours.
