She has discharged her responsibility to Ellis(now that she no longer needs a mentor), and is now free to pursue her own agenda. Rudy actually suggests she help Ariel with a coup she is planning. Or at least tentatively negotiate with her.

Problem is, the Asura kingdom has 2 of the sword-gods on retainer.

Next volume should cover the civil war in the Asura kingdom. Sylphy is Ariel's bodyguard, Rudy himself owes her a favor, and Ellis probably would like a crack at them too. So they are bound to get caught up in it on Ariel's side. Although it really depends on the contents of the Dragon's letter.
