As for Honoka doing the same as Parvati trying to win Shiva...I'd chalk that up to all the girls in Mahouka basically being foils for Miyuki. Honoka embodies one trait. Miyuki has almost all of them--including Parvati's names and titles. And just as all the goddesses are reflections of Shiva's Shakti, all the girls in Mahouka are but reflections of Miyuki who has all of their best traits in one package. Tatsuya and Miyuki's dancing scene at the end of volume 4 is pretty reminiscent of the Divine Couple since it includes lines like there being nothing else but them. Miyuki also fits the bill better because she actually lives with Tatsuya, is described the same way as Parvati was, is constantly trying to get him to look her way, has been called a "goddess" in story, and is even able to stun Tatsuya from time to and make him contemplate just how unbelievably beautiful she really is. Just like Parvati got Shiva to do from time to time before she won him over.

Also, we just need to get the most common story. The one most legends have in common. We don't need to incorporate everything. Just the most easily recognizable ones. And the common story is: Parvati and Shiva loved each other immensely. Parvati was Shiva's only reason to get more involved in the world, the only who can get him to leave his life of asceticism and become the benefactor of mankind, the one only who can command him, and his one attachment to the world. Without her he feels like he is nothing. Without her he has no drive nor reason to shower the world with his wonders. Without his wife, Shiva turns his back upon the world and leaves it to its own devices. But with her? He is the Almighty God of Gods.

And I think that describes our Shiba siblings pretty well.

I rambled a bit there so wasn't clear. The point I was trying to make was that Pavarti has so many aspects that I am pretty sure every female in the novel can be matched up to some aspect of Pavarti. Not saying you are wrong just that from house wife to destroyer of the universe, Pavarti has got it covered.

True. Since Parvati is everything, every female in the series could technically be compared to her. I just think Miyuki fits the bill best, and using Tatsuya as an anchor point for the parallels, Miyuki is our best bet for Tatsuya's Shakti.

Plus, there's Miyuki's name and "Snow Queen" title. ^_^ When I found out Parvati's Chinese name is "Snow Goddess" or and one of her Japanese names is "Celestial Snow Maiden" it quite frankly blew me away.

yeah but that won`t effect the next coming volume. I mean yeah i would like to see a tatsuya before he met miyuki but i don't want the author to do that in the detriment of the next volume.
