I like Ochako quite a bit, although my favorite character is Mina (who, sadly, has had no real focus).

I like her character, but I don't like her design aka she was not pretty.

Just as others said, other girls in the series were better and more interesting.

^it is refreshing, the heroine isnt the most beautiful person in the story and her personality isnt the most outstanding out of the female cast, her reasons are also not unique, she is a plain positive thinking girl who has a lot of determination to reach her goal

i have read the chapter and it seems like the old dude has superstrength, the girl can jump really high without notable superjumping effects (mostlikely it is some kind of gravity control abilty) while the boy has the quirk to...know what people lost and where people want to go??

in some ways the latest superpower could become incredible useful if it is psychometry where the touched objects give you information, in the police business it would be really helpful

Read the first chapter of Vigilante: Boku no Hero Academia - ILLEGALS (seriously, gotta trim down that name), and it's pretty good for a very basic introduction. Best part had to be the Mineta cameo. Shame that the magazine it's in, Jump Giga, isn't even monthly. What's up with that?

Couldn't figure it out. Shounen Jump Next was apparently every other month, but Jump Giga apparently had its first issue in May, if I'm reading right, and the second issue was August. That's three months. We need someone better at moonrunes than me to try to find out on their website or something.

I don't know what you guys see in her. She's probably my least favorite of the girls. (I don't dislike her, she just doesn't interest me.)

My favorites are probably Tsuyu, Yaomomo and Ochako (though the last's probably the main character effect).

Checking out the spoiler script, I have to say that this is a bit inaccurate:

The chapter does indeed start with a focus on Ochako, who was separated from the rest of the class after the previous chapter's earthquake. She sets off to search for her friends while being careful to stay hidden from the enemy students. Meanwhile, Deku faces off against that Shiketsu girl. Apparently, she targeted him because he's a close range fighter, so she figured he'd be easy pickings. As she throws more balls at him, she says she wants to know more about the UA students. Suddenly, she disappears and tries to launch a surprise attack, but Deku still manages to deflect the ball.

The girl reappears, and explains that her quirk is "disappearance". That is, she can divert her presence from her opponent's senses. She then continues her questioning, asking Deku why he wants to become a hero. However, our hero-to-be is forced to retreat as more kids from other schools appear. During his escape, he runs into Ochako! Unfortunately, she catches the attention of the enemy schools when she shouts to Deku....

As the other kids continue their chase, Ochako falls off the cliff she's standing on! As he sees her falling down, Deku thinks back to all the past times he hurt himself when saving others. He now knows that he must prioritize his own safety as much as those of the people he's rescuing, and thus, he resolves to not use 100% of his power again until his body is properly prepared for it! And so, he speeds up using less power than before, but still gains a nice boots thanks to the support from his new shoes. Thus, he manages to catch Ochako without breaking his bones (though there's still a bit of backlash)!

After the rescue, both Deku and Ochako are once again hiding from the enemy schools. However.... when Deku has his back turned, the gravity girl takes out a ball and is about to hit him with it! Deku notices straight away and stops her. He knows that she's actually that Shiketsu girl.... and indeed, her Ochako disguise melts away, revealing the girl in question. As it turns out, Deku was nearly fooled by her at first, but realized the truth when the fake Ochako fell down the cliff (as her quirk would have guaranteed a safe landing if it were the REAL her). Suddenly, the girl starts questioning him again (presumably for his reasons for becoming a hero). Even Deku seems unnerved by this girl's curious nature. Is she asking these questions because of the test, or is it something worse.....!?




Huh, I was actually kind of spot-on in guessing that Shiketsu girl's quirk. Anyway, sounds like she's a rather eccentric one, what with her constant questioning....

i saw the raws,

uravity was never in danger it is a shapeshifter who made him/herself look like her i guess mineta would kill for such a quirk),

but the black-leather-girl seems to have a "attention-excaping" ability, basically, she diverts the attention of others so that she seemingly vanishes even if she is right in front of them
at least this is my theory about her powers (training this ability would result in her becoming the best theif in history XD)

^my guess: she is a villian-in-the-making maybe half of the students are? would be some incredible thing if the villian-alliance managed to gather so many people

I think the girl is looking for potential boyfriend instead of competing, and Deku is her target.

Yeah looks like that's not Ochako but actually the Shiketsu girl in disguise. Quite a useful quirk if you ask me but Deku saw through it.

I'm kinda curious to see how Deku will respond to her soon.

It was interesting that she gave Deku and us that her quirk was "disappearance" or "vanish" when it is nothing but a pure skill.

Deku's amazing analytic is going to make this girl fall in love with him further.

Deku could use the skill the girl just showed him. Imagine someone with OFA's physical capabilities using that technique? It can also help Deku create his own "identity" as a hero and not just an All Might clone.

OK I've been reading this since the beginning and I still don't have a general idea of what One for All actually does. From what I've seen it gives you Super Strength, Super Speed and some Invulnerability, but that's not what the Quirk's description says it does so any help here.

but the skill requires deku to stop thinking, maybe if he masters OFA than it could be useful, unfortunatly, i dont think this will happen since if he masters OFA he wont need it

PS: but the very fact that such a superpower-like ability can be learned! creates a lot of possible power ups for deku and co,
think about it, someone like Iida getting a skill that causes him to "become 2D at a immensly high speed", his legs would be impossibly sharp blades

todoroki could learn a martial arts boosting his durability to some insane levels, and than he spams the hell out of the place...

shadow-boy learns a ninja-skill that allows him to "vanish into shadows", it would mean that whereever he is, his shadow gets the least amount of light which in turn makes him stronger,

bakugous perception/overall body movement speed needs to increase by a lot so a martial arts boosting the flesh and bones would be needed,

in dekus case... a skill to gain knowledge of your enemy and their weakpoints will be incredible helpful

who thinks that hori will implement "learnable superpower skills" in the story?

it charges the body with "energy", basically it is as if you tighten the muscles in your arm in order to lift something or throw a punch,
OFA is simply the supernatural over-the-top version of that phenomen, you body is faster if you use your muscles and run instead of lazy walking right? it also can hit harder if you use your muscles and if you "harden" every muscle in your body (if you are fairly trained) than even a relatively strong punch to any part of your body (aside from obvious weakpoints :v) wont hurt as much as it would if you are relaxed (and prevent injuries)...
