So basically, yes. As long as they can basically use it to hypnotize themselves into bringing forth the reality marble, it'd work. However, that's obviously no simple task, so it'd have to be something intrinsically connected to their soul.

Only the earliest episodes. Most Japanese studios finish their episodes only a few weeks in advance (however, I'd expect that most of them to be more than 50% done by now).

I finished watching Fate/Zero and loved it, reading the visual novel now. I have a question though, will this remake from ufotable have Kajiura as the composer?

No. The composer for the readaption is Hideyuki Fukasawa.

That is a shame. I really liked Kajiura's composition in Fate/Zero. Oh well, I don't mind change.
